| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh musim dan bangsa terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi dan pH semen segar sapi Angus (5 ekor), Brahman (5 ekor) dan Ongole (3 ekor). Penelitian menggunakan metode survey dengan stratified random sampling, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan repeated random sampling. Sampel data diambil sejak September 2013 hingga Agustus 2014 di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang. Pengaruh musim hujan dan kemarau dibedakan menjadi 6 grup, yaitu awal, pertengahan, dan akhir musim hujan; awal, pertengahan, dan akhir musim kemarau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musim dan bangsa berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap motilitas, konsentrasi dan pH semen segar, sementara bangsa tidak berpengaruh (P>0,05) terhadap konsentrasi spermatozoa dari ketiga bangsa sapi tersebut. Motilitas individu spermatozoa tertinggi selama musim hujan dicapai oleh sapi Ongole 56.032% (R3), sementara motilitas individu spermatozoa terendah pada musim kemarau dicapai oleh sapi Angus 39.58% (R4). Konsentrasi tertinggi dicapai pada musim hujan oleh sapi Ongole 1533.792 x 106/ml (R2), sementara konsentrasi terendah dicapai pada musim kemarau oleh sapi Angus 1133.74 x 106/ml (R6). pH tertinggi dicapai pada musim kemarau oleh sapi Angus 6,6 (R6). Sementara pH terendah dicapai pada musim hujan oleh Ongole 6.3 (R1). |

Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the season and breed on the motility, concentration, and pH of fresh semen of Angus (5 cattle), Brahman (5 cattle) and Ongole cattle (3 cattle). This research used a survey method with a stratified random sampling, and than a repeated random sampling analysis. Data samples had been collected from September 2013 to August 2014 at Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang. The influence of dry and wet season was differed into 6 groups, the beginning (R1), the middle (R2) and the end of rainy season (R3); and the beginning (R4), the middle (R5) and the end of dry season (R6). The result of research showed that season and breed factors give a significant influence (P< 0,05) on the motility, concentration, and pH of the fresh semen of the cattle. However, breed gives no influence (P > 0,05) on the concentration of spermatozoa of the cattle. The highest individual motility of spermatozoa during rainy season, 56.032% (R3), was obtained by Ongole cattle, while during dry season, the lowest one, 39.58% (R4), was by Angus cattle. The highest concentration during rainy season, 1533.792 x 106/ml (R2), was by Ongole cattle, while during dry season, the lowest concentration, 1133.74 x 106/ml (R6), was by Angus cattle. The highest pH during dry season was by Angus 6,6 (R6). Meanwhile, during rainy seasons, the lowest pH was by Ongole 6.3 (R1). |
