| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul " An Analysis of Illocutionary Acts in John Nash’s Utterances as the Main Character in A Beautiful Mind Movie " Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konteks dan jenis-jenis tindak ilokusi yang diujarkan oleh pemeran utama dalam film A Beautiful Mind. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menganalisis data. Data utama adalah sebuah film berjudul A Beautiful Mind. Data ini dianalisis menggunakan teori tindak ilokusi oleh John R Searle yang membagi ilokusi menjadi 5 tipe: yaitu directive, representative, expressive, commissive dan declarations. Penulis menggunakan beberapa langkah dalam menganalisis data, yaitu pengumpulan data dari naskah film, menggambarkan konteks serta mengkategorikan jenis-jenis tindak ilokusi. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menemukan ada 246 total jumlah tindak ilokusi yang diucapkan oleh John Nash dengan klasifikas: tipe directive diujarkan 112 kali. Dari 112 tuturan meliputi: asking yang dihasilkan 82 kali, 19 kali commanding, permitting 2 kali, begging 2 kali dan requesting diproduksi 7 kali. Jenis representative diucapkan 115, terdiri dari ujaran concluding yang dihasilkan 63 kali, statement 48 kali dan boasting 4 kali. Jenis expressive diucapkan 10 kali, yaitu thanking yang diucapkan 5 kali dan apologizing yang diucapkan 5 kali. Jenis commissives diujarkan 9 kali dan tipe declaration 0. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled " An Analysis of Illocutionary Acts in John Nash’s Utterances as the Main Character in A Beautiful Mind Movie ". The purpose of this research was to find out the context and classification of Illocutionary Acts that are produced by the main character in A Beautiful Mind Movie. The researcher used qualitative method in analyzing the data. The main data was a movie entitled A Beautiful Mind movie. The data was analyzed using the types of illocutionary acts theory by John R Searle which included representative, directive, expressive, commissive and declarations. In analyzing the data, the researcher applied some steps. There were collected the data from the script, described the context and categorized the classification of illocutionary acts. The result of this research shows that the researcher found 246 total illocutionary acts that are produced by John Nash, with the classification as follows: directives’ type is uttered 112 times. Those 112 utterances include: asking, which is produced 82 times, commanding 19 times, permitting 2 times, begging 2 times, and requesting is produced 7 times. Representatives’ type is uttered 115 times, those 115 utterances are concluding sentence which is produced 63 times, statement 48 times and boasting 4 times. Expressives’ type is uttered 10 times, those are thanking which is uttered 5 times and apologizing which is uttered 5 times. Commissives’ type is uttered 9 times and declaration type is null. |
