Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas tanaman padi terhadap hama Penggerek Batang Padi Kuning (PBPK), gejala serangan dan intensitas serangan hama PBPK pada beberapa varietas tanaman padi, serta mengetahui respon pertumbuhan hama PBPK pada beberapa varietas tanaman padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Pasir Kidul, Kecamatan Purwokerto Barat, Kabupaten Banyumas pada bulan April hingga Juli 2015. Rancangan dasar dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan RAK (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) untuk setiap varietas dengan tiga ulangan untuk selanjutnya dilakukan analisis ragam. Faktor yang diuji adalah varietas padi Inpari 31, Inpari 32, Inpari 33, Hipa 12 SBU, Hipa 13, Hipa 18, Hipa 19, Situ Bagendit, Ciherang, dan IR 64. Variabel yang diamati yaitu, gejala serangan, intensitas serangan, jumlah ngengat, jumlah kelompok telur, siklus hidup, tinggi tanaman, jumlah malai, panjang malai, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif per rumpun, jumlah butir per malai, persentase gabah bernas dan hampa dan hasil panen. Hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan uji F taraf 5% dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hama PBPK menghambat pertumbuhan beberapa varietas padi, namun tanaman mampu mengkompensasi kerusakan dengan menghasilkan anakan baru dan hasil produksi yang didapatkan berkisar 10,12 – 23,09 g per rumpun. Intensitas serangan PBPK pada varietas yang dicoba secara berurutan yaitu Hipa 19 (15,56%), Inpari 32 (15,92%), Hipa 13 (16,14%), Situ Bagendit (16,92%), Ciherang (17,53%), Inpari 33 (17,63%), Hipa 18 (20,30%), Inpari 31 (20,66%), Hipa 12 SBU (21,04%) dan IR 64 (22,16%). Pertumbuhan hama Penggerek Batang Padi Kuning dalam penelitian ini untuk masing-masing stadia yaitu, stadia telur selama 5-10 hari, larva selama 36-40 hari, pupa selama 21-25 hari dan imago selama 3-4 hari.

Inggris)This research purpose were knowing the response of pest yellow rice stem borer (YRSB) to growth and yield some rice variety tested, knowing attack symptoms and intensity of pest attacks YRSB in some rice variety tested, and knowing response growth pest YRSB on some plant variety rice. The research was conducted at Pasir Kidul village, Purwokerto Barat district, Banyumas regency on April to Juli 2015. The basic design of this research was the randomized complete block design (RCBD) for each variety with three replications for further analysis of variance combined. Factors tested were rice varieties consisting of Inpari 31, Inpari 32, Inpari 33, Hipa 12 SBU, Hipa 13, Hipa 18, Hipa 19, Situ Bagendit, Ciherang, and IR 64. Observed variables were attacks symptoms, intensity of attacks, number of moths, the number of eggs mass, life cycle, plant height, number of panicles, panicle length, number of tillers, number of productive tillers per clump, the number of grains per panicle, percentage of pithy and hollow grain and yield. The Results were analyzed using the F test 5%, followed Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the YRSB inhibit the growth of some variety of rice, but the plant was able to compensated for the damage by produce new tillers and production results obtained range from 10,12 to 23,09 grams per clump. The intensity pest YRSB of the varieties tested sequentially were Hipa 19 (15,56%), Inpari 32 (15,92%), Hipa 13 (16,14%), Situ Bagendit (16,92%), Ciherang (17,53%), Inpari 33 (17,63%), Hipa 18 (20,30%), Inpari 31 (20,66%), Hipa 12 SBU (21,04%) and IR 64 (22,16%). Growth YRSB in this study each were eggs stadia 5-10 days, 36-40 days, larva 21-25 days, pupa and 3-4 day imago.
