| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan: 1) jenis pembenah tanah yang efektif bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah di lahan pasir pantai, 2) takaran pupuk nitrogen optimum bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah di lahan pasir pantai, 3) mengetahui interaksi antara jenis pembenah tanah yang efektif dan takaran pupuk nitrogen optimum bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah di lahan pasir pantai. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan pasir pantai Jetis, Desa Banjarsari, Kecamatan Nusawungu, Kabupaten Cilacap, pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2015. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL). Faktor yang dicoba adalah pembenah tanah yang terdiri atas 4 jenis: tanpa pembenah tanah, Vertisol, pupuk kandang, campuran (Vertisol dan pupuk kandang) serta takaran pupuk N yang terdiri atas 3 aras: 90, 180 dan 270 kg N/ha. Data dianalisis dengan cara uji F, apabila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan DMRT pada taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) bahan pembenah tanah campuran (Vertisol dan pupuk kandang) meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman bawang merah pada variabel tinggi tanaman dan kadar kehijauan daun, 2) takaran pupuk optimum bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah pada variabel tinggi tanaman adalah setara dengan 224,62 kg N/ha, luas daun 234,16 kg N/ha, kadar kehijauan daun 188,87 kg N/ha dan hasil umbi kering 266,25 kg N/ha, sedangkan takaran 270 kg N/ha menunjukkan masih adanya peningkatan terhadap variabel bobot daun basah, jumlah umbi per rumpun, bobot basah per umbi, bobot umbi basah per rumpun dan hasil umbi segar, 3) interaksi antara jenis pembenah tanah dan takaran pupuk nitrogen terdapat pada variabel bobot tanaman kering dan bobot daun kering. |

Inggris) | This research aimed to determine: 1) the effect of effective type of soil conditioner for the growth and yield of shallot in coastal sandy soil, 2) the optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer for the growth and yield of shallot of shallot in coastal sandy soil, 3) determine the interaction between the effective type of soil conditioner and the optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer for the growth and yield of shallot in coastal sandy soil. This research was conducted at Jetis beach sandy soil, Banjarsari village, Nusawungu sub-ditricts, Cilacap regency, on August to October 2015. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RAKL). Factors that tested in the research as soil conditioner consist of 4 types: without soil conditioner, Vertisol, manure and mix soil conditioner (Vertisol and manure} and then dosage of N fertilizer consisted of 3 levels: 90 (T0), 180 kg (T1) and 270 kg N/ha. Data were analyzed with using F test, if it was significant different, it would be continued by DMRT at the error rate 5%. The results showed that 1) the result indicated that the mix of soil conditioner (Vertisol and manure) increased the growth of shallot on plant height and greenish of leaf level variables, 2} the optimum dose of fertilizer for the growth and yield of shallot was on plant height variable aqual to 224.62 kg N/ha, leaf area by 234.16 kg N/ha, greenish of leaf levels by 188.87 kg N/ha and dry bulb yield by 266.25 kg N/ha. Fertilizer dose of 270 kg N/ha indicated that there was an increase on fresh leaf weight, number of bulb per hill, weight per bulb, weight of bulb per hill and fresh bulb yield, 3) The interaction between the type of soil conditioner and the dose of N fertilizer was on weight of dry plant and weight of dry leaf variables. |
