Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Keunggulan padi galur Bawor 9 dan Ciherang yaitu tekstur nasi pulen dan berproduksi tinggi sedangkan padi varietas Siak Raya dan Dendang yaitu toleran terhadap salinitas. Kombinasi dari kedua tetua diharapkan mampu menghasilkan varietas baru dengan tekstr nasi yang pulen, toleran salinitas, serta berdaya hasil tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui keragaman karakter agronomik hasil persilangan padi galur Bawor 9 dengan Siak Raya dan Ciherang dengan Dendang; dan 2) mendapatkan galur-galur padi toleran salin yang berkualitas hasil tinggi serta berdaya hasil tinggi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan sawah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok teraugmentasi dengan perlakuan 5 galur F2 dan 3 ulangan untuk varietas kontrol. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan total, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang malai, jumlah gabah per malai, bobot 1000 biji, bobot gabah per rumpun, dan umur berbunga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) karakter agronomik populasi F2 hasil persilangan galur Bawor 9 dengan Siak Raya berbeda nyata pada tinggi tanaman, panjang malai, dan jumlah gabah per malai. Sedangkan hasil persilangan Ciherang dengan Dendang berbeda nyata pada semua variabel kecuali bobot 1000 biji 2) galur yang dapat diteruskan sebagai F3 hasil persilangan galur Bawor 9 dengan Siak Raya yaitu Basira 21122, Basira 21130, Basira 21274, Basira 21275, Basira 2133, Basira 21128, dan Basira 2134. Sedangkan galur yang dapat diteruskan sebagai F3 dari persilangan Ciherang dengan Dendang yaitu Ciden 21331, Ciden 21289, Ciden 2121, Ciden 21249, Ciden 21210, Ciden 21232, dan Ciden 21311.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The excellence of Bawor 9 lines and Ciherang were had a fluffier texture and high yield. Besides, the excellence of Siak Raya and Dendang that was tolerant of salinity. The combination of both was expected to product new rice variety with a character of fluffier texture, tolerant of salinity, and had a high yield. This study was purposed to: 1) determine the diversity of agronomic characters of crossbreeded between Bawor 9 lines with Siak Raya and Ciherang with Dendang; and 2) obtain the lines that tolerant of saline, had a high yield and good quality. The study was held in the ricefield of Agriculture Faculty of Jenderal Soedirman University. The used experimental design was the augmented –RCBD with 5 treatments of F2 lines and 3 replications for comparison varieties. The plant height, total amount of tillers, amount of productive tillers, number of tassels, amount of unhulled rice, weight of 1000 grains, weight of grains per clump, and flowering age were the observed variables. The result of the study showed 1) agronomic character of F2 population of crossbreeding between Bawor 9 with Siak Raya rice lines had a high diversity of 3 variables; height of paddy, length of tassels, and amount of unhulled rice per tassels. In the other hand, population of crossbreeding between Ciherang with Dendang had a diversity of all variables except weight of 1000 grains. 2) There were 7 selected starins from crossbreeding of Bawor 9 lines with Siak Raya could be continued to determine as F3, they were: Basira 21122, Basira 21130, Basira 21274, Basira 21275, Basira 2133, Basira 21128, and Basira 2134. The 7 selected liness from crossbeeding of Ciherang with Dendang could be continued to determine as F3, they were Ciden 21331, Ciden 21289, Ciden 2121, Ciden 21249, Ciden 21210, Ciden 21232, and Ciden 21311.
