| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi petani SRI dan karakteristik sosial-demografi di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Manonjaya dan Kecamatan Salawu pada bulan Mei-Juni 2015 kepada 60 responden. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survai menggunakan multistage purposive sampling. Pendekatan Means-End Chain (MEC) dalam penelitian ini mempekerjakan teknik wawancara laddering, analisis isi, pembuatan HVM (Hierarchical Value Map), dan interpretasi data. Kode berupa atribut, konsekuen, dan nilai yang dihasilkan untuk digunakan menganalisis konten. Rasio keabstrakan dan indeks sentralitas dihitung untuk membentuk HVM. Terdapat 3 tema yang teridentifikasi dari penelitian ini a) produksi meningkat, memperbaiki kesuburan tanah akan meningkatkan penghasilan untuk mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga agar mencapai kebahagiaan b) hasil sehat c) memperbaiki kesuburan tanah. Berdasarkan indeks sentralitas, ‘mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga’ dan ‘peningkatan pendapatan’ merupakan nilai tertinggi dengan 0.17 dan 0.12. Sosial-demografi petani paling banyak berumur 46-55 tahun, dominan laki-laki dengan tingkat pendidikan terakhir Sekolah Dasar dan mempunyai 4-5 orang tanggungan keluarga. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aims of the research is to understand motivation of SRI’s farmer and their social-demography of characteristic in Tasikmalaya Regency. The research was conducted in Manonjaya and Salawu on Mei-June 2015 for 60 respondens. The research was conducted with survey method using multistage purposive sampling. Means-End Chain approach was employed in this study with laddering interview technique, content analisys, generating HVM (Hierarchical Value Map), and interpretation data. Master codes of attribute, consequence, and value were generated by using content analisys produce. Abstracness ratio and centrality index was calculated to construct the HVM. There are 3 themes identified from this study a) incresed production and improve soil fertility will incresed the revenue to satisfy the needs of their families to accomplish happiness b) the result of healthy c) improve soil fertility. Based on centrality index, ‘satisfy the needs of their families’ and ‘increasing the revenue’ have the higest values which are 0.17 and 0.12 respectively. Social-demography of characteristic farmers the most 46-55 years old, most dominant mens with the education level last Primary School and have 4-5 the responsibility of other families. |
