| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian dengan judul: “Pendugaan Bobot Potong Melalui Ukuran Lingkar Dada Sapi Brahman cross” telah dilakukan di Rumah Potong Hewan Kota Banjar, Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu 1) mengetahui bobot sapi hasil perhitungan formula Schoorl; 2) menduga bobot sapi hasil pengukuran formula regresi; 3) membandingkan bobot sapi hasil perhitungan menggunakan formula Schoorl dengan bobot timbangan sesungguhnya; dan 4) membandingkan bobot hasil pengukuran lingkar dada dengan bobot timbangan sesungguhnya. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 35 ekor ternak sapi Brahman cross jantan. Variabel yang diamati adalah Lingkar dada dan bobot potong. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan BS (Bobot Schoorl) 424,58±57,66 kg, BR (Bobot Regresi) 487,94±52,76 kg dan BTS (Bobot Timbangan Sesungguhnya) 453,80±72,96 kg. Rataan bobot sapi Brahman cross yang paling mendekati BTS (Bobot Timbangan Sesungguhnya) yaitu BS (Bobot Shoorl). |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research, entitled "Girth-based Estimation Of The Slaughter Weight Of Brahman Cross”, has been conducted in the Slaughterhouse of Banjar, West Java. The purposes of this research are 1) to determine the weight of a bull using the Schoorl formula; 2) to predict the weight of a bull based on the regression formula; 3) to compare the result of the Schoorl formulation to the actual weight scale; anad 4) to compare the weight of the girth-based calculation to the actual weight scale. The material used in this research was 35 Brahman cross males whose girth and slaughter weight were the variables being measured. The research method was a survey. The results showed that the average of BS (Schoorl weight) is 424.58±57,66 kg, (BR) regression weight is 487.94±52,76 kg and BTS (actual weight scale) is 453.80±72,96 kg. The mean weight of Brahman cross which is closest to the actual weight scale is the Schoorl weight. |
