| Judul Artikel | Class Disparity Forms in Suzzane Collin's The Hunger Games |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian yang berjudul “Class Disparity Forms in Suzzane Collin’s The Hunger Games” ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk perbedaan kelas yang terdapat dalam novel The Hunger Games karya Suzzane Collins. Data utama dari penelitian ini adalah novel The Hunger Games yang dianalisis melalui teory perbedaan kelas. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penemuan tersebut menunjukan bahwa perbedaan kelas menyebabkan perbedaan sikap dan gaya hidup masyarakat yang tergolong kedalam strata tertentu. Terdapat tiga aspek perbedaan kelas dalam The Hunger Games, seperti sosial, ekonomi dan politik. Pada aspek sosial, perbedaan kelas antara Capitol sebagai gambaran borjuis dan distrik-distrik sebagai proletariat dapat dilihat dari penampilan, penggunaan bahasa, gaya hidup, dan konsumsi makanan. Pada aspek ekonomi, Capitol berperan sebagai pengontrol kekayaan, dan proletariat sebagai pekerja upah murah. Pada aspek politik, kelas sosial antara Capitol dan distrik-distrik dilihat berdasarkan kekuasaan dan kekuatan. |

Inggris) | The research entitled “Class Disparity Forms in Suzzane Collin’s The Hunger Games” is aimed to find out the class disparity forms reflected in Suzzane Collin’s The Hunger Games. The primary source is novel The Hunger Games which is analyzed use class disparity theory. Furthermore, the analysis is explained by using descriptive qualitative method. The findings show that class disparity causing the difference in the attitude and lifestyle of people who are within a certain strata. There are three aspecst of class disparity in The Hunger Games, such as social, economic, and politic. In social aspect, the disparity can be seen from the differences in appearance, language, lifestyle, and food between the Capitol as the borjouise representation and the Districts as the proletariat. In economic aspect, the Capitol as the wealth controller plays the role, and the proletariat as the low pay worker. In politics, social class between the Capitol and the Districts are based on the authority and power. |
