Kata Kunci: Cerita Cinta Penelitian yang berjudul “Love Story As Depicted In The Main Character Maggie Brown Of Cheryl Holt’s My Only Love” bertujuan untuk menemukan jenis-jenis cinta dan menemukan perilaku yang tidak baik dalam novel My Only Love karya Cheryl Holt. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Cinta, Teori Emosional, dan pendekatan Psikologikal. Kemudian, analisis dijabarkan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Terdapat beberapa langkah dalam meneliti novel ini. Langkah pertama yaitu, membaca novel My Only Love untuk memahami isi novel tersebut untuk pengumpulan data. Langkah kedua adalah, mengidentifikasi teks yang berisi jenis cinta didalam novel tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis yang ada, penulis menemukan beberapa jenis-jenis cinta diantara Maggie Brown dan Adam St. Clair didalam novel My Only Love. Hubungan percintaan terjadi karena adanya hubungan antara Maggie Brown dan Adam St. Clair. |

Keywords: Love story The research entitled “Love Story As Depicted In The Main Character Maggie Brown Of Cheryl Holt’s My Only Love” aims to find out the kind of love and to find out the kind of negative impacts in novel My Only Love written by Cheryl Holt. This research used Love theory, Theory of emotion, and Psychological approach. Furthermore, the analysis is arranged using descriptive qualitative method. There are several steps in analyzing this novel. First, the researcher reads the novel to understand the content and to collect the data. Second, the researcher identifies texts which have kind of love in the novel. Based on the analysis, the researcher find many kind of love between Maggie Brown and Adam St. Clair in the novel My Only Love. The love relationship caused the relationship between Maggie Brown and Adam St. Clair. |
