| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | ABSTRAK Skabies merupakan penyakit kulit yang disebabkan oleh ektoparasit Sarcoptes scabiei. Berbagai permasalahan dari pengobatan skabies seperti efek samping dan resistensi obat, memunculkan berbagai alternatif dalam upaya menemukan pengobatan yang lebih baik, yaitu dengan menggunakan herbal. Tanaman Nerium oleander mengandung bahan - bahan yang memiliki efek akarisidal (pembasmi kutu) dan insektisidal (pembasmi serangga). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efek skabisid Nerium oleander pada Sarcoptes scabiei pada uji in vitro. Sebanyak 30 ekor Sarcoptes scabiei dewasa hidup dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok kemudian diberikan perlakuan ivermektin, aquades, ekstrak Nerium olenader 50 ppm, ekstrak Nerium olenader 100ppm, dan ekstrak Nerium olenader 200 ppm. Masing – masing perlakuan diamati kematian tungau setiap 4 jam sampai semua tungau mati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak Nerium olenader 100 ppm berhasil membunuh Sarcoptes scabiei dengan waktu LC50 (Lethal Concentration 50) pada jam ke-8, berbeda secara nyata dengan kontrol negatif (p<0,05). Survival rate Sarcopes scabiei pada konstrasi 100 ppm didapatkan selama 9,33 jam. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat efek skabisid Nerium oleander pada Sarcoptes scabiei pada uji in vitro pada konsentrasi 100 ppm dan survival rate Sarcoptes scabiei pada konsentrasi ekstrak Nerium oleander 100 ppm adalah 9,33 jam |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | ABSTRACT Scabies is a skin disease caused by ectoparacite, specificically Sarcoptes scabiei. Various problem in treating scabies such as drug side effects and drug resistance have triggered alternative to find better scabies treatment, for example by using herbal medicine. Nerium oleander is a herbal substance which contains acaricidal (acarida repellent) and insecticidal (insect repellent) components. The aim of this study was to investigate the scabicidal effect of oleander (Nerium oleander) for Sarcoptes scabiei on in vitro test. Thirthy adult Sarcoptes scabiei alive was divided into 5 groups treatment, given Ivermectin, aquades, Nerium oleander extract 50 ppm, Nerium oleander extract 100ppm, and Nerium oleander extract 200 ppm. Each treatment was observed for Sarcoptes scabiei's death per 4 hour until all the mite died. The result of experiment showed Nerium oleander extract 100 ppm had killed Sarcoptes scabiei with LC50 (Lethal Concentration 50) at 8 hours, signifcantly different compared to negative control group (p value<0,05). Survival rate of Sarcoptes scabiei achieved by extract Nerium oleander 100 ppm treatment at 9,33 hour. It was concluded that there was scabicidal effect in Nerium oleander for Sarcoptes scabiei on in vitro test at 100 ppm dosage and survival rate of Sarcoptes scabiei in extract Nerium oleander 100 ppm was 9,33 hours. |
