| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Diabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit kronis yang tidak dapat disembuhkan. Cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah menjaga kadar glukosa darah tetap stabil. Menjaga agar kadar glukosa darah agar tetap stabil dapat dilaksanakan dengan menjalani kepatuhan terhadap perawatan pasien DM. Pasien dengan penyakit kronis seperti DM berpotensi mempengaruhi tingkat depresi. Pasien DM dengan depresi ditandai dengan menurunnya harga diri sehingga akan menimbulkan kehilangan minat, pandangan terhadap masa depan suram, serta tidak dapat melakukan kegiatan dengan baik termasuk juga dalam menjalani kepatuhan perawatan pasien DM tipe 2. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri dengan kepatuhan perawatan pasien DM tipe 2 di Kecamatan Wangon. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik quota sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 67 responden. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner DSMQ untuk mengukur kepatuhan perawatan pasien DM tipe 2 serta kuesioner Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale untuk mengukur harga diri. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman. Hasil: Hasil analisis menggunakan uji Spearman menunjukkan nilai p sebesar 0,001 (p<0,05) dan nilai r hitung sebesar 0,406. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara harga diri dengan kepatuhan perawatan pasien DM tipe 2 di Kecamatan Wangon |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease which is not curable. The way to prevent this disease is by maintaining blood glucose in stable levels. Keeping blood glucose in stable levels can be implemented with the adherence of DM patient. Patients who suffer chronic disease such as DM can affect their level of depression. DM patients who depresive can be known from the decreasing of their self-esteem so that they will lose their interest, no view of future, and not capable to do anything well, including in doing adherence of type 2 DM. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between self-esteem and adherence of type 2 DM patients at Wangon district. Methods: This study uses a cross sectional design. To collect the sample of the research, the researcher uses quota sampling technique with a total sample of 67 respondents. To collect the data, the researcher used DSMQ questionnaire for measuring the adherence of type 2 DM patients and used Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale to measure the self-esteem. The result of the study will analysed by using Somers’d test. Result: The results of the analysis which use Somers’d test shows p score of 0,001 (p<0,05) and r score of 0,406. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between self-esteem and adherence of type 2 DM patients at Wangon District. |
