| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Inisiasi Menyusui Dini (IMD) merupakan salah satu program pemerintah yang ditujukan untuk mencapai sasaran MDGs yaitu menurunkan angka kematian ibu dan angka kematian bayi. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan IMD dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah faktor dari dalam diri ibu sendiri, yaitu kurangnya motivasi untuk melakukan IMD. Motivasi yang kurang pada ibu disebabkan oleh pengetahuan yang rendah tentang IMD. Motivasi yang kurang menyebabkan ibu tidak siap dan/ atau tidak mau melakukan IMD. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan ibu primigravida trimester 3 tentang IMD dengan kesiapan ibu dalam melaksanakan IMD. Metode: penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling dengan besar sampel 49 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan IMD dan kuesioner kesiapan melaksanakan IMD yang dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil: Usia minimal responden 17 tahun dan maksimal 37 tahun dengan nilai mean (SD) 24,06 (4,905). Mayoritas responden berpendidikan SMA/SMK (42,9%) dan tidak bekerja (85,7%). Mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan tinggi (75,5%) dengan tingkat kesiapan 2 (34,7%). Uji korelasi spearman menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi pengetahuan ibu tentang IMD maka semakin tinggi pula kesiapan ibu melaksanakan IMD dengan nilai p=0,011 dan koefisien korelasi 0,359. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu primigravida trimester 3 tentang IMD dengan kesiapan ibu melaksanakan IMD. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Early Initiation of Breastfeeding is one of the government programs aimed at achieving the MDGs targets is to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality. Successful implementation of IMD is influenced by various factors, one of which is a factor of mother own self, that is lack of motivation to implement IMD. Lack of motivation on mother is caused by low level of knowledge about the IMD. Lack of motivation causes the mother to be unready and/or unwilling to implement IMD. Purpose: this research aimed to determine the relationship between level of knowledge of maternal primigravida trimester 3 on IMD and readiness of mother in implementing IMD. Method: this reasearch was an analytic survey research with cross sectional design. Sampling was carried out by using consecutive sampling with a sample size of 49 people who met inclusion criteria. This research used questionnaire of knowledge of IMD and questionnaire of readiness in implementing IMD that were analyzed with using spearman correlation test. Results: The age of respondents were 17 years old minimum and 37 years old maximum, with the value of mean (SD) of 24,06% (4.905). Majority of respondents had education of Senior High School/Vocational High School (42.9%) and unemployment (85.7%). Majority of respondents had a high level of knowledge (75.5%) with the level of readiness of 2 (34.7%). Spearman correlation test indicated that the higher mother’s knowledge about the IMD, the higher the mother’s readiness to implement IMD with p value = 0.011 and a coefficient correlation of 0.359. Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of maternal primigravida trimester 3 on IMD and readiness of mother in implementing IMD |
