| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Struktur Frase Adjektival pada Kolom Opini Surat Kabar Kompas Edisi Oktober-November 2014”. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur dan makna gramatikal frase adjektival yang terdapat dalam kolom opini tersebut, serta menganalisis peran sintaksis frase adjektival dalam kalimat. Penelitian ini terfokus pada kalimat-kalimat bahasa Indonesia yang mengandung frase adjektival. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kolom opini surat kabar Kompas edisi Oktober-November 2014. Menurut Ramlan (2005: 138), frase adalah unsur klausa yang terdiri dari dua kata atau lebih yang tidak melampaui batas fungsi klausa. Struktur sintaksis membicarakan tentang sebuah struktur, yang berupa adanya fungsi sintaksis, kategori sintaksis, dan peran sintaksis dalam sebuah satuan sintaksis berupa kata, frase, klausa, bahkan kalimat. Makna gramatikal adalah hubungan antara unsur-unsur bahasa dalam satuan-satuan yang lebih besar (Chaer, 2009: 138). Hasil penelitian ini yaitu pada kolom opini surat kabar Kompas edisi Oktober-November 2014 ditemukan empat variasi struktur frase adjektival yang terdiri atas frase adjektival berstruktur K + K, frase adjektival berstruktur K + F, frase adjektival berstruktur F + K, dan frase adjektival berstruktur F + F. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled “Adjective Phrase AnalysisStructure in Newspaper Opinion Column of Kompas Edition Oktober-November 2014”. The aims of the research are to describe the grammatical structure and meaning of adjective phrases contained in the opinion column, and analysis syntactic role phrase of adjective in the sentence. This research focused on the Indonesian sentences containing the phrase adjective. Source of data in this research is the opinion column of the newspaper Kompas edition Oktober-November 2014. The phrase is an element clause consisting of two or more words that do not exceed the limit clause function (Ramlan, 2005 : 138). Syntactic structure describes of a structure, in the form of the function syntax, syntactic categories and syntactic role in a syntactic units such as words, phrases, clauses, sentences even. Grammatical meaning is the relationship between the elements of language in units greater (Chaer 2009:138). The results of this research in on an opinion column in Kompas newspaper editions from Oktober until November 2014 found four variations of the adjektival phrase structure consisting of the adjektive phrase structure of K + K, adjective phrase structure of K + F, adjective phrase structure of F + K, and adjective phrase structure of F + F. |
