| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami gerakan nasionalisme kulit hitam dalam lirik lagu “Get Up, Stand Up” karya Bob Marley serta menjelaskan gerakan nasionalisme kulit hitam dalam lirik lagu tersebut merupakan representasi perlawanan kaum Rastafari terhadap praktik kolonialisme di Jamaika. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan semiotika dalam bingkai perspektif pascastrukturalis dan paradigma dekonstruksi, hasil penelitian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa lirik lagu “Get Up, Stand Up” Karya Bob Marley sangat berpengaruh bagi kaum kulit hitam dalam melawan segala bentuk penindasan termasuk praktik kolonialisme di Jamaika. Lirik “Get Up, Stand Up” Karya Bob Marley banyak mengandung beberapa unsur penting, antara lain: perjuangan dan perlawanan kaum Rastafari terhadap kolonialisme, Afrosentrisme, dan harapan kembalinya Afrika. Unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu “Get Up, Stand Up” Karya Bob Marleyberhasil menumbuhkan kembali gerakan nasionalisme kulit hitam di Jamaika. Kemudian, gerakan nasionalisme kulit hitam dalam lirik lagu “Get Up, Stand Up” Karya Bob Marley juga merepresentasikan perlawanan kaum Rastafari terhadap praktik kolonialisme di Jamaika. |

Inggris) | This research-based paper aims at understanding the movement of black nationalism in the lyrics of the song "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley as well as explain the movement of black nationalism in the lyrics of the song is a representation of the Rastafari resistance against colonialism practice in Jamaica. By using a qualitative method and semiotics approach in the framework of the poststructuralist perspective and the deconstruction paradigm, the result of the research reveals that the lyrics of the song "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley very influential for blacks in the fight against all forms of oppression, including the practice of colonialism in Jamaica. Lyrics "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley contains many key elements, among others: the struggle and resistance of the Rastafari against colonialism, Afrosentrisme, and hopes the return of Africa. The elements contained in the lyrics of the song "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley successfully regrow black nationalism movement in Jamaica. Then, the movement of black nationalism in the lyrics of the song "Get Up, Stand Up" by Bob Marley also represents the resistance of the Rastafari against the practice of colonialism in Jamaica. |
