| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian berjudul “Profil Ternak Sapi Peranakan Ongole di Kabupaten Purbalingga” telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 April 2014 sampai dengan 28 Mei 2014. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil ternak sapi Peranakan Ongole berdasarkan umur, body condition score (BCS), dan ukuran statistik tubuh sapi di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei, penentuan sampel wilayah menggunakan metode stratified random sampling berdasarkan jumlah kelompok peternak sapi potong terbanyak, sedang dan tersedikit. Kecamatan yang terpilih sebagai sampel adalah Kecamatan Bobotsari, Mrebet, dan Karangjambu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1). sapi PO pedet umur 6,62 bulan dengan nilai BCS 2,18 memiliki ukuran lingkar dada, panjang badan, tinggi badan, dan bobot badan rata-rata sebesar 134,13 cm, 90,82 cm, 116,69 cm, dan 194,21 kg,(2). sapi PO muda umur 14,61 bulan, dengan nilai BCS 2,32 memiliki ukuran lingkar dada, panjang badan, tinggi badan dan bobot badan rata-rata sebesar 155,12 cm, 109,29 cm, dan 129,67 cm, dan 259,23 kg, (3). sapi PO dewasa umur 39,15 bulan dengan nilai BCS 2,07 memiliki ukuran lingkar dada, panjang badan, tinggi badan, dan bobot badan rata-rata sebesar 167,94 cm, 122,52 cm, 128,93 cm, dan 288,53 kg. Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil sapi pada umur fisiologis pedet, muda dan dewasa memiliki nilai BCS yang relatif sama terhadap ukuran statistik vitalnya cenderung meningkat. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The study entitled "Profile of Ongole Crossbreed Cattle (PO) in Purbalingga Regency" was conducted from 14 April to 28 May, 2014. This research aimed to study the profile of Ongole Crossbreed Cattle based on the age, body condition score (BCS), and statistical measures of the animal body in Purbalingga.The research was carried out with the survey method on farmers Ongole crossbred cattle, determination of the sample area used a stratified random sampling method based on the highest, middle, and the lower number of beef cattle farmer group. The sub-districts which were selected as the sample area were Bobotsari, Mrebet, and Karangjambu. The results showed: (1). PO beef cattle at calves 6.62 months of age with BCS value of 2.18, had a chest circumference, body length,average height of 134.13 cm, 90.82 cm, and 116.69 cm, and the average of body weight was 194.21 kg, (2). Young PO cows aged 14.61 months, with a BCS value of 2.32, had a chest circumference, body length, average height of 155.12 cm, 109.29 cm, and 129.67 cm, and the average of body weight was 259.23 kg, and (3). adults PO cattle aged age 39.15 months, with a BCS value of 2.07, had a chest circumference, body length, average height of 167.94 cm, 122.52 cm, and 128.93 cm, and the average of body weight was 288.53 kg. It can be concluded that the profiles of male and female calves, steer and heifer and bull and cow, they have similar BCS and their statistical measures tend to increase. |
