Penelitian ini berjudul An Analysis of Tehniques and readibility of Oblique Translation in the Fable Book “Aaron and the Magic Apple”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan tehnik-tehnik penerjemahan oblique, serta keterbacaan tperjemahan oblique yang terdapat pada fable Aaron and the Magic Apple. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah fable Aaron and the Magic Apple. Untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah oblique strategi dan keterbacaaan hasil terjemahan tersebut maka penelitian ini menggunakan dua data yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diambil dari 146 data yang digunakan sebagai sampel. Data sekunder diambil dari kuesioner yang diberikan oleh penilai untuk mengetahui keterbacaan dari terjemahan. Teknik total sampel digunakan untuk memperoleh data yang relevan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil analisis dari 146 data terdapat 55 data yang termasuk terjemahan oblique, 27 data (49,09%) transposisi, 18 data (32,72%) adalah modulation, 7 data (12,72%) equivalence, 3 data (5,45%) termasuk adaptation. Berdasarkan hasil quesioner dari data, Peneliti menemukan bahwa, 19 data (38%) diklasifikasikan Unassisted reading, 13 data (26%) termasuk Instructional assisted and 18 data (36%) diklasifikasikan dalam Frustration level. Selanjutnya, peneliti menemukan bahwa sebagian besar terjemahan termasuk dalam keterbacaan yang baik. Transposition merupakan tehnik yang paling banyak digunakan dalam fable ini. Penggunaan strategi dari setiap kalimat dipengaruhi oleh konteks situasi dan interaksi social. Karena disana terdapat banyak perbedaan stuktur antara Bahasa sumber dan Bahasa sasaran. Dikarenakan fable tersebut diperuntukan untuk anak kecil, maka si penulis menggunakan kalimat yang baik dan santun pada Bahasa sasaran. |

This research is entitled “An Analysis of Techniques and Readibility of Oblique Translation in the Fable Book Aaron and the MagicApple”. This research is aimed to find the oblique translation techniques, and to identify the readibility of those translation techniques results in the Aaron and the Magic Apple fable. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection used total sampling to get the relevant data. The data sources are the Aaron and the Magic Applefable book (primary data) and the questionnaire (secondary data). There are 146 samples of the primary data. The primary data deals with the oblique translation in the fable meanwhile the secondary data deals with the questionnaire to measure the readability of those translation techniques. The research result analysis shows that among 146 data, 55 data belongs to oblique technique, 27 data (49,09%) are transposition technique, 18 data (32,72%) are modulation technique, 7 data (12,72%) are equivalence technique, and 3 data (5,45%) are adaptation technique. Based of the result questionnaire, the researcher found out 19 data (38%) which are classified into “unassisted reading”, 13 data (26%) are classified to “instructional assisted”, and 18 data (36%) are classified to “frustation level”. The researcher concluded that most of the the translation has good readibility. Transposition technique is the most used technique in this fable. The use of each technique of translation in each sentence is affected by its context, situation, and social interaction. That is because a lot of different language structures between the source language (English) and the target language (indonesian). The target readers of this fable are childrens, that is why the translator used expressions that are easy, and polite in the target language. |
