| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan ukuran jengger dan shank berbagai ayam Sentul umur delapan minggu. Penelitian ini di laksanakan di Experimental farm Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 250 ekor Day Old Chick (DOC) ayam Sentul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode experimen, dengan Rancangan Acal Lengkap (RAL). Sebagai perlakuan adalah lima macam ayam Sentul yaitu, Sentul Abu, Sentul Batu, Sentul Debu, Sentul Emas dan Sentul Geni. Setiap unit penelitian di ulang diulang lima kali. Peubah yang diamati adalah, ukuran jengger dan shank berbagai ayam Sentul umur delapan minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan tinggi jengger ayam Sentul jantan 18,20 mm dan ayam Sentul betina 6,65 mm. Rataan lebar jengger ayam Sentul jantan 5,28 mm dan ayam Sentul betina 4,54 mm. Rataan panjang jengger ayam Sentul jantan 27,68 mm dan ayam Sentul betina 14,43 mm. Rataan panjang shank ayam Sentul jantan 53,23 mm dan ayam Sentul betina 27,68 mm. Rataan lingkar shank ayam Sentul jantan 37,89 mm dan ayam Sentul betina 30 mm. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa berbagai ayam Sentul berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap ukuran jengger dan shank. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan ukuran jengger dan shank berbagai ayam Sentul umur delapan minggu. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The reseach is aimed to determine the size of comb shank of Sentul chickens at the age of eight weeks. The reseach at Experimental Farm Animal Science Faculty of Jenderal Soedirman University. The object used in this reseach was Sentul chickens with the range of 250 Day Old Chick (DOC) consisting of Sentul Abu, Sentul Batu, Sentul Debu, Sentul Emas and Sentul Geni. The research was done by using experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The were performed five times and each. The reseach concerned on the comb and shank size observed from different Sentul chickens between the ages of eight weeks. The data obtained was analyzed by using analysis of variance. The average high male chickens comb Sentul 18.20 mm, high female chickens comb Sentul 6.65 mm, midth of the male chickens comb Sentul 5.28 mm, width of the female chickens comb Sentul 4.54 mm, long male chickens comb Sentul 27.68 mm, long female chickens comb Sentul 5.45 mm, long shank Sentul male chickens 53.23 mm, long shank Sentul female chickens 27.68 mm, ring shank Sentul male chickens 37.89 mm, ring shank Sentul female chickens 30 mm. The results of analysis of variance showed that the size of comb and shank of Sentul chickens were not significant effact (P> 0.05) to the size of the cock's comb and shank of the Sentul chickens age of eight weeks. The conclusions of this study underlines that the size of comb and shank of Sentul chicken are relatively equal. |
