| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Judul penelitian ini adalah “Analisis Penggunaan Istilah Sapaan dalam Film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan tipe- tipe istilah sapaan, menggambarkan proses realisasi, dan mengetahui proses perubahan istilah sapaan di film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Peneliti menerapkan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitat if . Sampel data dalam penelitian berasal dari dialog yang diucapkan oleh 4 karakter utama pada film ini. Untuk teori, peneliti menggunakan teori- teori dari Braun (1998) dan Eggins (2004). Kedua teori tersebut membahas istilah sapaan dan analisis tenor pada ilmu wacana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tujuh tipe istilah sapaan dalam film ini. Tipe- tipe tersebut adalah panggilan nama, panggilan kekerabatan, gelar khusus, panggilan yang berkaitan dengan profesi, panggilan untuk menunjukkan suatu hubungan, panggilan sayang dan teknonyme. Dari ketujuh tipe, gelar khusus paling banyak digunakan oleh keempat pemeran utama, sementara yang paling sedikit adalah panggilan untuk menunjukkan suatu hubungan dan teknonyme. Realisasi dari setiap tipe memiliki pola (dimensi tenor) yang berbeda karena pola tersebut mengacu pada konteks situasi pada saat itu. Konteks yang berbeda menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan penggunaan istilah sapaan. Peneliti menemukan 13 proses perubahanan istilah sapaan. Faktor- faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan penggunaan istilah sapaan adalah dominasi dari salah satu tipikal dimensi (tenor) yang dipengaruhi oleh situasi film dan sifat/ karakteristik dari pembicara. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The title of this research is “An Analysis of Noun Address Terms Usage in Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl movie”. This research is aimed at finding out the types, describing the realization and knowing the process of noun address ter m changes in Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl movie. The researcher applies the qualitative research methodology. The sample of data comes from the dialogues which are uttered by the four main characters in this movie. For the theories, the researcher uses the theories from Braun (1998) and Eggins (2004). Both theories discuss over noun address term and tenor analysis in discourse study. The result of research shows that there are seven types of noun address terms in this movie. The ty pes are name term, kinship term, particular title, occupational term, terms of endearment and teknonyme. From the seven types, Particular title is mostly used by the four main characters, while the least is words for certain types of relationship and tekno nyme. The realization of each type has divergent patterns in tenor dimensions because the patterns of tenor dimensions refer to the context of the situation at the time. The divergent contexts cause the change of noun address terms usage. The researcher has found thirteen processes of noun address terms change. The factors led to the change of noun address terms usage are the domination of one typical of tenor dimension that is influenced by the context of the movie, and the characteristics of the speaker. |
