| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK BIJI JINTAN HITAM (Nigella sativa) TERHADAP GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGI TUBULUS GINJAL TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus) YANG DIINDUKSI METOTREKSAT |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Metotreksat (MTX) dosis tinggi banyak digunakan untuk terapi berbagai macam kanker. Namun, MTX dosis tinggi mempunyai efek samping merusak organ ginjal. Ekstrak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) diduga mampu menanggulangi efek samping dari MTX dosis tinggi karena kandungan antioksidannya. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) terhadap gambaran histopatologi tubulus ginjal tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi MTX Metode: Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian eksperimental post test only with control group design. Hewan coba dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok kontrol sehat (A) yaitu kelompok yang diberikan aquades pada hari ke 1-8, kelompok kuratif (B) yaitu kelompok yang diberi metotreksat pada hari ke 1 dan ekstrak biji jintan hitam pada hari ke 2-8, kelompok preventif (C) yaitu kelompok yang ekstrak biji jintan hitam pada hari ke 1-7 dan metotreksat pada hari ke 8. Ginjal diambil kemudian dibuat preparat dengan pewarnaan HE. Hasil: Uji statistik dengan Oneway Anova menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rerata skoring kerusakan tubulus ginjal antar kelompok A, B dan C (p>0,05). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok tikus yang diberikan metotreksat dan ekstrak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) dengan kelompok tikus yang tidak diberikan keduanya (kontrol sehat). Pemberian ekstrak biji jintan hitam (Nigella sativa) dapat memperbaiki gambaran histopatologi tubulus ginjal tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang diinduksi metotreksat (MTX). |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: High dose of Methotrexate (MTX) is widely used for the treatment of various cancer. However, it can cause side effects to the kidneys. Extract of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa) is suspected as an therapy of the MTX side effect in kidney because of its antioxidant properties. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa) extract in tubules renal histopathology of male albino rat (Rattus norvegicus) induced by MTX Method: This research was an experimental post test only with control group. Animals were divided into 3 groups. Control group was heathy albino rats (A) which were given distilled water on day 1-8, curative group (B) were given methotrexate on day 1 and black cumin seeds extract on day 2-8, preventive group (C) were given black cumin seeds extract on day 1-7 and methotrexate on day 8. Kidney samples from all group were collected and stained in Hematoxylin-Eosin. Result: Statistical test with Oneway Anova showed no significant difference of renal tubular damage score beetwen groups A, B and C (p>0,05). Conclusion: There was no significant difference between group were given methotrexate and black cumin seeds extract (preventive and curative group) with group were not given both (control group).
