| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Manusia dalam hidupnya dikatakan sebagai makhluk sosial. Manusia membutuhkan manusia yang lain untuk saling menerima dan berbagi demi keberlangsungan hiidupnya. Dalam kehidupannya bermasyarakat, manusia selalu melalui proses komunikasi baik secara verbal maupun nonverbal. Media dalam berkomunikasi pun beragam, salah satunya melalui kebudayaan. Budaya dapat menjadi sebuah media penyalur gagasan dan pesan yang dapat diwariskan secara turun temurun. Kesenian ebeg, sebagai salah satu bentuk budaya warisan leluhur yang terdapat di Desa Karanggintung, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas menjadi bukti masyarakat di dalamnya masih memegang teguh budaya dan tradisi yang ada. Peneliti menjadikan Grup Ebeg Wahyu Turonggo Kembar sebagai subjek penelitian dan menggunakan teori etnografi komunikasi dalam melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan menganalisis aktivitas komunikasi dan komponen-komponen komunikasi yang terdapat pada kesenian ebeg Grup Ebeg Wahyu Turonggo Kembar tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk menentukan informan yang akan dijadikan narasumber penelitian. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat aktivitas komunikasi berupa situasi komunikatif dan peristiwa komunikatif yang tercakup pada prosesi ritual sebelum pementasan ebeg dan pada setiap tahap pementasan kesenian ebeg, serta tindak komunikatif yang berupa pernyataan dan permohonan, baik secara verbal maupun secara nonverbal. Komponen-komponen komunikasi juga terdapat dalam kesenian ebeg pada Grup Ebeg Wahyu Turonggo Kembar, seperti dalam penggunaan setting, partisipan yang terlibat, topik, urutan tindakan, serta bentuk dan isi pesan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Every human live as a social. This statement based on the fact that every human can’t live without anyone else, to give or accept by each other as we know as society. In their society, human always do the communication to each other, either verbal or nonverbal communication. There are many ways of communication can be used to communicate, include the culture. Culture as a medium able to giving a message from one people to anyone else. Ebeg, the one of many heritage culture in Karanggintung Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas as a prove that the Banyumas people still holding on their culture and tradition. This research chose the Group of Ebeg Wahyu Turonggo Kembar in Karanggintung Village, Sumbang District as the subject and using the Etnography of Communication Theory to analyzing the activity and component of communication through the ebeg. This research using the purposive sampling as a technic to decide the subject. The result showed that there are communication activity through situation and event in this culture that showed in every rituals activity, it could be seen before an event and in every step of it as well. Then, there are so many communication behaviour that happen in this culture such as a statement and wishing, either verbal and nonverbal communication. The components of communication in this subject is including the setting, the participant, the topic, the act sequence, and the message of the ebeg as well. |
