| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | This research entitled “Economic Analysis of Carrot Farming in Serang Village Karangreja Sub-District Purbalingga District”. Research Purpose is to determine the efficiency business, to determine the level of break-even point, and to determine the income and profit of carrot farming that can meet the need of household consumption. The sample of this research consists of 50 carrot farmers. The method used is a survey method. The result of this research shows that carrot farming in Serang village, Karangreja sub-district, Purbalingga district has been efficient. This can be seen from the value of average R/C ratio which is 3.40. Carrot farming in Serang village, Karangreja sub-district, Purbalingga district has exceeded breakeven point. From the analysis result indicated that BEP for a growing season (5 months) in in rupiah is Rp1.563.447.00 and BEP of unit is 442 kg. While the calculation of BEP production cost is Rp1.439.00. Overall farmers have the average of net income in a growing season of Rp16.943.296.00 for 5 months, so the farmer can earn the average net income or profit of Rp3.388.659.00 each month. If the average of farmer family consumption level has APC value of 0.56 which means that it is < 1, the income of farming has been able to meet the average needs of carrot farmer consumption Implication of this research is that the farmers should focus on the use of production inputs such as seeds and fertilizer the used that exceeded SOP. The farmers need guidance through socialization with applying carrot cultivation directly in a good and right way. The farmers need to make village cooperation, so the farmers have the power to market their farming products and the farmers should also search for income in the outside of carrot farming so that they are able to meet the needs of family consumption. |
