| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kedelai merupakan salah satu komoditi pangan yang kebutuhannya tiap tahun semakin meningkat untuk diolah sebagai panganan. Permasalahan kedelai antara lain teknik mengupas biji kedelai masih banyak dilakukan dengan menggunakan cara klasik yaitu dengan merendam dan menginjak–injak dalam suatu wadah hingga kulit ari biji kedelai terkupas. Hal ini sangat merugikan karena bisa menyebabkan kedelai pecah atau bahkan dapat hancur oleh tekanan yang diberikan pada kedelai tidak tetap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kinerja alat mesin sosoh tipe abrasive roll pada proses penyosohan kedelai. Pengujian kinerja mesin sosoh kedelai tipe abrasif roll meliputi kapasitas penyosohan, kualitas sosohan, rendemen hasil keluaran mesin penyosoh serta efisiensi bahan bakar setelah proses penyosohan. Hasil uji kinerja yang dilakukan mesin ini memiliki kapasitas kedelai sebesar 52,117 kg/jam dengan rendemen rata-rata sebesar 94,96%. Persentase biji kedelai tersosoh 75,6%. Efisiensi bahan bakar mencapai 9,6% dan daya spesifik 0,1148 kW.kg/jam. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Soyabean is one of komodity food which increses every years as a foods. The most problem of soybean is about peel seed technique that many people stiil do with the conventional technique, which is tread the soyabean into the big bowl until the shell break out from the soyabean. That’s why it is caused the soyabean break of the unstated pressure. This research purposed to tested the sosoh mechine abrasive roll type on the hulling process. The testing of abrasive roll type include the hulling capacity, hulling quality,and the result of hulling mechine and the fuel effesion after the hulling. The result of the mechine work has the soyabean capasity about 52,117 kg/hour with the result average 94,96%. The representation of soyabean about 75,6%. The fuel effesion about 9,6% and the specific energy about 0,1148 kW.kg/hour. |
