| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Sindroma Ovarium Polikistik (SOPK) merupakan masalah infertilitas pada wanita dengan penyebab multifaktorial. Terapi farmakologi lini pertama adalah Clomiphene Citrate (CC) yang efektif untuk meningkatkan ovulasi. Resistensi insulin menyumbang besar pada terjadinya SOPK, maka banyak penelitian merekomendasikan penambahan agen insulin-sensitizer metformin. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas penggunaan terapi kombinasi CC dan metformin dibandingkan terapi tunggal CC terhadap responsivitas induksi ovulasi pada wanita dengan sindroma ovarium poliksitik. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian didapatkan dari rekam medis pasien klinik Restu Ibu Purwokerto bulan Januari 2009 – Oktober 2014 dengan metode sampling non probability : consecutive sampling. Total sampel yang didapatkan dari data rekam medik pasien sebanyak 71 sampel, yang dibagi menjadi 28 sampel kelompok terapi CC dan 43 sampel kelompok terapi kombinasi CC dan metformin. Hasil: Analisis univariat didapatkan hasil 7,14% untuk terapi CC dan 44,18% untuk terapi CC dan metformin pada tingkat responsivitas ovulasi. Analisis bivariat didapatkan hasil yang signifikan antara terapi CC dengan terapi CC dan metformin (p=0,001 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan efektivitas terapi kombinasi CC dan metformin dibandingkan dengan terapi tunggal CC. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an infertility problem in women with multifactorial causes. The first line pharmacological therapy is clomiphene citrate (CC), which is effective for increasing ovulation. Insulin resistance contributes in pathogenesis of PCOS, so that many studies recommended an addition of insulin sensitizer agent, metformin. Objective: The aim of this study is to know the difference in the effectiveness of CC and metformin combination therapy compared to CC monotherapy against the responsiveness of ovulation induction in women with polycystic ovary syndrome. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was obtained from medical record of patients Restu Ibu Purwokerto clinic in January 2009 – October 2014 by non-probability consecutive sampling. The total sample obtained from the patient medical record was 71 samples and were divided into two groups consist of 28 samples treated with CC and 43 samples CC and metformin. Results: Univariate analysis showed that 7.14% for CC therapy and 44.18% for CC and metformin therapy are on the level of responsiveness of ovulation. Bivariate analysis showed significant difference between CC therapy with CC and metformin therapy (p = 0.001 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is a difference in the effectiveness of CC and metformin combination therapy compared to CC monotherapy. |
