| Judul Artikel | Konstruksi Feminisme dalam Novel Saman karya Ayu Utami dan Buku Sastra, Perempuan, dan Seks Karya Katrin Bandel |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tokoh feminis berjuang melalui karya sastra, salah satunya Ayu Utami dengan novel Saman. Banyak kritik yang ditujukan untuk novel Saman, salah satunya Katrin Bandel. Tujuan penelitian menjelaskan konstruksi feminisme, perbandingan perspektif feminisme karya Ayu Utami dan Katrin Bandel. Penelitian mengkaji teks berpedoman tiga konsep dasar strukturalisme genetik, yaitu fakta kemanusiaan, subjek kolektif, dan pandangan dunia strukturasi dan homologi. Hasil penelitian, fakta kemanusiaan dalam novel Saman, perlawanan terhadap budaya patriarki dengan penciptaan tokoh perempuan yang mampu berperan aktif saat terjadinya carut-marut yang membatasi gerak perempuan, pemberontakan terhadap kultur budaya Timur yang mengikat dan membatasi gerak perempuan. Namun, menurut Bandel, perlawanan Ayu merupakan pelegalan mitos yang melekat pada perempuan dalam budaya Timur. Subjek kolektif dalam novel Saman, Ayu menciptakan perempuan metropolitan yang mewakili kelas menengah atas sebagai simbol perempuan yang melakukan pemberontakan terhadap nilai-nilai mapan seperti nilai keperawanan dan kesakralan dalam perkawinan. Namun, Bandel menentang pemberontakan Ayu. Menurutnya, pemikiran yang diungkap Ayu bias kelas menengah atas, tidak mewakili semua perempuan, seakan-akan hanya perempuan kelas menengah atas yang mampu melakukan pemberontakan. Pandangan dunia dalam penelitian ini yaitu Ayu berusaha mengungkap seksualitas yang lebih perempuan. Ayu ingin merebut kendali seksualitas yang didominasi laki-laki. Perempuan berhak melakukan apa pun untuk memberi kenikmatan dan kepuasan pada dirinya. Namun menurut Bandel, pemikiran Ayu tentang representasi seksual yang lebih perempuan tidak sesuai dengan fakta yang ada. Perlawanan dalam hal mengungkapkan seksualitas justru telah mengesampingkan anatomi tubuh dan fungsi seksualitas perempuan sebenarnya. Perlawanan Ayu terhadap ideologi patriarki dengan cara radikal, Bandel dipengaruhi feminisme liberal dan juga pascakolonial. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Starting in 1970, many feminist leaders who fought through literature. One of them is Ayu Utami with novel Saman. Many of the criticisms aimed at novel Saman, one of which is quite straightforward and firmly criticized Saman is Katrin Bandel. This research intend to explain the construction of feminism in the novel Saman and critique of feminism of Ayu Utami by Katrin Bandel, as well as a comparison of the perspectives of feminism based on the work of Ayu Utami and Katrin Bandel. This research was conducted by, text based on the three basic concepts of genetic structuralism, that is a fact of humanity, collective subject, and worldview structuration and homology. These results indicate in the novel Saman humanitarian facts reveal resistance to patriarchal culture demonstrated by the creation of a female character who is able to play an active role when the profanity that limit the movement of women, as well as a rebellion against the culture of Eastern culture that bind and limit the movement of women. However, according to Bandel, resistance of Ayu is form of legalization to the myth attached to women in Eastern cultures. Collective subject in the novel Saman, Ayu creating metropolitan women representing the upper middle class women as a symbol of rebellion against the values that have been established as the values of virginity and sanctity in marriage. However, Bandel is oppose the rebellion submitted by Ayu. According to her, notion that is revealed by Ayu Utami with the upper middle-class women, does not represent all women, as if only the upper middle-class woman who is able to do the uprising and rebellion. View of the world in this research that is Ayu seeks to uncover sexuality that is more female determine. Ayu wanted to seize control of sexuality that has been dominated by men. Women's right to claim to do anything to be able to give pleasure and satisfaction to herselves. But according Bandel, this notion of Ayu Utami sexual that is representation of sexuality that is more female determine is not in accordance with the facts. Resistance in terms of expressing sexuality actually has ruled anatomy and function of the actual female sexuality. Ayu Utami describe resistance to patriarchal ideology of radical manner, while Bandel influenced by liberal feminism and postcolonial. |
