| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Rendahnya kualitas pendidikan saat ini disebabkan oleh belum efektifnya proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung di sekolah. Hal ini berdampak pada pesatnya pertumbuhan Lembaga Bimbingan Belajar (LBB) khususnya di Purwokerto. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku siswa mengikuti bimbingan belajar diantaranya adalah persepsi orang tua mengenai kualitas pembelajaran dan kepuasan terhadap layanan pendidikan, dan motivasi siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh persepsi orang tua terhadap pendidikan dan motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti bimbingan belajar di Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan sample 97 responden yang terdiri dari 57 responden siswa dan orang tua siswa di SMPN 8; dan 40 responden siswa dan orang tua di SMPN 9 Purwokerto. Analisis data menggunakan tabulasi silang, Kendall tau, serta regresi ordinal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum persepsi orang tua mengenai kualitas pembelajaran dan kepuasan terhadap layanan pendidikan termasuk dalam kategori baik dengan indeks sebesar 67,7%. Motivasi belajar pada siswa juga termasuk dalam kategori tinggi yakni sebesar 74,9%. Tingginya motivasi belajar siswa dan persepsi orang tua mempengaruhi perilaku siswa dalam mengikuti bimbingan belajar sebesar 68,04%. Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dapat dilakukan melalui evaluasi dan peninjauan ulang kebijakan yang diterapkan agar penerapan kebijakan yang baru tepat pada sasaran. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The low quality of education in Indonesia is caused by the less effective learning process in schools. This affects on the rapid growth of many learning courses (LBB), especially in Purwokerto, The factors that become the focus in this research are parents perception towards the quality of learning process in school and the satisfaction of education service, and students motivation when studying that affects on their behavior when attending learning courses. The method of this research is quantitative with 97 respondens were divided into 57 and 40; 57 for 8 Junior High School and 40 for 9 Junior High School. Hypothesis analyzed by crossed table analysis, Kendall Tau analysis, and ordinal regression analysis. The result of this research is shown by the perception of parents towards th equality of learning process and satisfaction of education service mostly good, with the 67,7% index. Students motivation is also at the high category, with the 74,9% index. The high percentage of students motivation and parents perception affect on students behavior when attending learning courses is at the high category also with 68,04% index. Aside from three factors above, the research shows that parents education background and social economic status also affect the parents perception on choosing the right education for their children. Improving the quality of education can be done through the evaluation. So that the application of the new policy is based and right on target.
