Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Penelitian ini merupakan studi empiris pada sektor perusahaan Properti dan Real Estate Indonesia pada periode 2011-2013. Penelitian yang berjudul "Analisis Pengaruh Weekend Januari Effect dan Rogalski Effect di Bursa Perusahaan Kembali Sektor Properti dan Real Estate 2011-2013 Periode". Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Weekend Januari efek dan efek Rogalski pada pengembalian saham di sektor perusahaan Properti dan Real Estate periode 2011-2013.

Populasi penelitian adalah perusahaan di sektor Properti dan Real Estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Dipilih oleh metode purposive sampling, penelitian ini menggunakan 25 compnanies sebagai sampel. Sampel yang digunakan penelitian ini dipasangkan t-tes sebagai metode.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) efek Weekend ada di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada perusahaan sektor Properti dan Real Estate periode 2011-2013; (2) efek Januari tidak ada di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada sektor perusahaan Properti dan Real Estate periode 2011-2013; (3) efek Rogalski tidak ada di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada sektor perusahaan Properti dan Real Estate periode 2011-2013.

Sebagai implikasi dari kesimpulan di atas, (1) Investor dalam memutuskan untuk membeli atau menjual saham tidak hanya melihat harga saham atau kondisi keuangan dari perusahaan, tetapi mereka juga harus melihat faktor internal dan eksternal, seperti global krisis ekonomi yang mempengaruhi kondisi ekonomi di pasar modal, (2) Manajemen perusahaan harus memperhatikan hari perdagangan saham (Senin sampai Jumat) karena dapat mempengaruhi volatilitas return saham, (3) hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efek akhir pekan terjadi pada perdagangan saham perusahaan sektor Bursa Efek Indonesia Property dan Real Estate periode 2011-2013. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa investor perlu mempertimbangkan untuk menjual saham mereka pada akhir pekan dan untuk menentukan strategi investasi.

This research is an empirical study on companies sector Property and Real Estate of Indonesia at period 2011-2013. The research entitled “Analysis of Weekend Effect January Effect and Rogalski Effect on Stock Return Companies Sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 Period”. The aims of this research were to determine the Weekend effect January effect and Rogalski effect on the stock return in company sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 period.

The research population was companies in sector Property and Real Estate listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. Chosen by purposive sampling method, this research used 25 compnanies as sample. This study used sample paired t-test as the method.

The result of this research indicates that: (1) Weekend effect existed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in companies sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 period; (2) January effect didn’t exist on Indonesia Stock Exchange in companies sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 period; (3) Rogalski effect didn’t exist on Indonesia Stock Exchange in companies sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 period.

As implications of the conclusion above, (1) Investors in deciding to buy or sell a stock were not only see the stock price or the financial condition from the companies, but they also have to see the internal and external factor, such as the global economic crisis that affects economic condition in capital markets, (2) Management companies need to pay attention to the stock trading days (Monday through Friday) because it can affect the volatility of the stock returns, (3) The result showed that the weekend effect occured on stock trading the Indonesia Stock Exchange companies sector Property and Real Estate 2011-2013 period. These findings indicate that investors need to be consider to sell their shares at the weekend and to determine the investment strategy.
