Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pertama, untuk mengetahui variabel yang dapat memengaruhi penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Kedua, untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial variabel investasi terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Ketiga, untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial variabel volume penjualan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Keempat, untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial variabel tingkat upah terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Kelima, untuk mengetahui variabel yang paling berpengaruh diantara variabel investasi, volume penjualan, dan tingkat upah terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dimana responden telah ditetapkan berdasarkan survei lapangan oleh peneliti yang dilakukan dengan wawancara langsung kepada responden dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Penentuan responden yang dijadikan sampel menggunakan metode sensus. Metode sensus adalah usaha memperoleh data dengan meneliti seluruh individu dalam populasi.
	Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pertama ,variabel investasi, volume penjualan, dan tingkat upah secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Kedua, variabel investasi secara parsial memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Setiap kenaikan investasi akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja pada indsutri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Ketiga, variabel volume penjualan secara parsial memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada indutri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Setiap kenaikan volume penjualan akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja pada indsutri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Keempat, variabel tingkat upah secara parsial memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Setiap kenaikan upah akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal. Kelima, variabel tingkat upah merupakan variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri logam komponen alat berat di Kabupaten Tegal

This research entitled “The Analysis of Variables that effecting employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area”. This study was conducted in May 2014. The purpose of this research are the first, to determine of Variables that effecting employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. The second, to determine the effect of partial variable investment on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. The third, to determine the effect of partial volume variable on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. The four, to determine the effect of partial variable wage rate in the labor market in the metals industry heavy equipment components in Tegal. The five, to determine which variables are most influential among the variable investment, sales volume, and the level of wages in the labor market in the metals industry heavy equipment components in Tegal.
This research is a survey in which respondents have been assigned based on field surveys conducted by researchers with direct interviews using questionnaires to the respondents. Determination of the sampled respondents using census method. The method is an attempt to obtain census data by examining all individuals in the population.
Based on the results of this research the first, variable investment, sales volume, and the level of wages jointly have a significant effect on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. The second, variable partial investment has a positive and significant effect on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. Any increase in investment will increase employment in the heavy equipment component of industrial metals in Tegal area. The third variable partial volume has a positive and significant effect on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. Any increase in the volume of sales will increase employment in the heavy equipment component of industrial metals in Tegal area. The four, variable partial wage rate has a positive and significant effect on employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. Any increase in wages will increase employment in the metal industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal area. The five, variable wage level is the most influential variable in the labor market in the metals industry of heavy equipment components in Tegal.
