Fokus dari penilitian ini adalah tentang efek dari keefektifitasan penggunaan komik kartun terkenal dalam peningkatan kemampuan kosakata bahasa Inggris pada level V adalah. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah (1) untuk mengetahui kemampuan kosakata siswa pada level V di Melody English Course. (2) untuk mengetahui ke efektifitasan penggunaan komik kartun terkenal dalam meningkatan kemampuan kosa kata siswa pada level V di MEC. (3) untuk mengetahui masalah yang di temukan oleh guru maupun siswa ketika memberika teknik.  (4) untuk mengetahui pendapat siswa dan guru dalam penggunaan komik kartun terkenal dalam meningkatkan kosakata siswa.

The main concern of the researcher is about“ The Effectiveness of Using Popular Cartoon Comic as a  media to Improve Students’ Vocabulary”. The focus of the researchare (1) to find out the ability of students’ vocabulary on the fifth level of Melody English Course . (2) to find out the effectiveness of using popular cartoon comic in improving the students mastery vocabulary on the fifth level of MEC. (3) to find out the problems encountered by the teacher and students when implementing in the technique.(4) to find out the perception of the students and teacher in using popular cartoon comic in improving students’ vocabulary.
