Purbalingga merupakan salah satu kota industri yang cukup terkenal  di  Jawa Tengah. Pabrik yang berdiri kebanyakan pabrik bulu mata palsu dan wig.  Industri ini menjadi roda penggerak perokonomian warga. Pabrik dan plasma lebih banyak menyerap buruh perempuan ketimbang laki-laki. Terjunnya wanita kedunia kerja dapat bermanfaat positif bagi perekonomian dan kesejahteraan keluarga karena pendapatan yang diperoleh dari hasil bekerja dimanfaatkan untuk menopang ekonomi keluarga akan tetapi pada sisi lain terjunnya wanita kedunia kerja juga dapat membawa perubahan tertentu terhadap keluarganya. Ketika istri bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik dengan jam kerja dari pukul 07.00 WIB sampai pukul 16.00 WIB maka ada peran yang ditinggalkan oleh istri yaitu peran domestik, dengan demikian maka ada proses penyesuaian yang harus disikapi oleh pihak keluarga untuk mengatasi ketidakseimbangan dalam keluarga. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan  Keterlibatan  suami dalam melakukan peran domestik dibagi dalam dua kategori yaitu suami yang mengambil alih sebagian peran domestik dan suami yang tidak mengambil peran domestik sama sekali. Suami yang mengambil sebagian  peran domestik dipengaruhi oleh faktor intensitas waktu suami di rumah lebih banyak dibandingkan istri sehingga suami berkewajiban untuk membantu peran istri yang tidak bisa dikerjakan karena pergi bekerja. Sementara untuk suami yang tidak mengambil peran domestik sama sekali karena mereka masih menganut budaya patriarkhi yang kuat sehingga mengganggap pekerjaan domestik merupakan pekerjaan perempuan saja.

Purbalingga is one of the well-known industrial city in Central Java. Factories were established mostly plant false eyelashes and wigs. Factory and plasma absorb more women workers than men. Woman plunging into the world of work can be a positive benefit for the economy and the welfare of the family as the income derived from the results of work used to sustain the family economy but on the other hand a woman plunging into the world of work can also bring certain changes to the family. When my wife worked as a factory worker with working hours from 07.00 am until 16.00 pm then no role left by the wife of the domestic role, and thus there is a process of adjustment that must be addressed by the family to address the imbalance in the family.Based on the results of this study concluded the husband's involvement in the conduct of domestic roles are divided into two categories: the husband who took over most domestic role and the husband who does not take the domestic role at all. Husband who takes most domestic role is influenced by factors intensity husband's time in the house more than the wife that the husband is obliged to help the wife's role can not be done due to go to work. As for the husband who does not take the domestic role at all because they still adhered to the strong patriarchal culture that considers domestic work is women's work alone.
