RINGKASAN
Kedelai merupakan salah satu komoditas yang mempunyai peran penting
dalam sektor pertanian.Hal tersebut mendorong petani kedelai di Kecamatan
Kebasen Kabupaten Banyumas untuk terus menanam kedelai dan meningkatkan
produksidengan tujuan mendapatkan keuntungan maksimal dan dapat memenuhi
kebutuhan kedelai di Kabupaten Banyumas. Tetapi petani kedelai terus disulitkan
karena biaya produksi kedelai yang terus meningkat dan harga kedelai lokal yang
kalah saing dengan kedelai impor yang semakin menyulitkan para petani,
sehingga petani harus menggunakan faktor produksi yang ada seefisien mungkin
guna mencapai hasil produksi yang maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui tingkat efisiensi usahatani kedelai diKecamatan Kebasen Kabupaten
Banyumas.
Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh denganwawancara
langsung kepada responden. Responden yang diteliti yaitu petani kedelai di
Kecamatan Kebasen Kabupaten Banyumas.Metode analisis menggunakan fungsi
produksiCobb-Douglasdan analisis R/C rasio.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi lahan, pupuk dan
tenaga kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap usahatani kedelai, sedangkan faktor
produksi bibit berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap usahatani. Usahatani kedelai
di Kecamatan Kebasen sudah menguntungkan sehingga perlu terus di pertahankan
dan di kembangkan.

SUMMARY
Soybean is one of the commodities that has significant role in the sector of
agriculture. This condition encourages the soybean farmers in Kebasen District,
Banyumas Regency to continue cultivating and increasing the production of
soybean in order to obtain maximal benefit and supplying market demand of
soybean in Banyumas Regency as well as in Indonesia. However, soybean
farmers face some hurdles such as the increasing of production cost and the
cheaper price of imported soybean. This situation forces the farmers to use the
existing factors of production as efficiently as possible in order to reach maximal
production. This research was aimed to examine the level of efficiency of soybean
farming in Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency.
This research used primary data that obtained through direct interview
with the respondents. The respondents in this research were the soybean farmers
in Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency. The researcher used Cobb-Douglas
production function and R/C ratio as the method of analysis.
The result of this research found that the production factor of land,
fertilizer and labor could significantly affect the farming business of soybean,
while the factor of seed production could insignificantly affect soybean farming
business. Soybean farming business in Kebasen District could positively be
considered profitable, and therefore it must be maintained and developed.
