Kabupaten Banyumas merupakan salah satu pengirim buruh migran di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dan diantara BMI asal Banyumas terdapat buruh migran yang memanfaatkan remiten untuk kewirausahaan. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui profil mantan buruh migran Banyumas yang berwirausaha dilihat dari negara tujuan, tingkat pendidikan, aktivitas di luar negeri, latar belakang berwirausaha dan pemanfaatan remiten. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa profil mantan buruh migran Banyumas yang berwirausaha terdiri dari usaha ternak ayam, perikanan, sandal, kontrakan, rental PS, alat rumah tangga, penggilingan padi, jual beli mobil, bengkel, pertanian holtikultur, material, penyewaan tarub, perkayuaan, warung, kue, foto copy, cash kredit funiture dan elektronik, bebek dan miyak cengkeh. Bentuk kepemilikan usaha perorangan dan persekutuan. Jenis industri terdiri dari industri rumah tangga hingga industri kecil. Mayoritas kewirausahaan buruh migran masuk dalam home - based new ventures. Profil mantan buruh migran Banyumas yang berwirausaha dilihat dari negara tujuan terdiri dari mantan BMI Korea Selatan, Singapura, Hongkong, Malaysia, Taiwan, dan Arab Saudi. Berdasarkan latar belakang pendidikan, buruh migran Banyumas yang berwirausaha terdiri dari SD, SMP sederajat, SMA sederajat dan perguruan tinggi. Dilihat dari aktivitas ketika di luar negeri yaitu BMI asal Banyumas melakukan berbagai aktivitas selain bekerja seperti kumpul bersama teman, mengikuti perkumpulan atau paguyuban, olahraga, dan pembelajaran. Latar belakang buruh migran Banyumas berwirausaha karena kebutuhan akan kekuasaan, alasan pemenuhan diri dan alasan keuangan. Buruh migran Banyumas yang berwirausaha dilihat dari pemanfaatan remiten terdapat pemanfaatan remiten ekonomi dan sosial, mayoritas untuk berwirausaha, membangun rumah, membeli sawah, dan membeli tanah.

Banyumas is one of the senders of migrant workers in the province of Central Java. And among BMI there are some workers who utilize remittances for entrepreneurial. So the aim of this research to know the profile of former migrant who entrepreneurial seen from destination country, education level, activities a board, the background of the entrepreneurial and the untilize of remittances. The results indicate that the profile of former migrant workers who were entrepreneurial in Banyumas consisting of chicken farming, fishing, sandals, Play Station rental, selling household appliance, rice milling, buying and selling cars, mechanic, horticulture farming, selling material, Tarub rental, carpenting, stalls, cakes, photo copy, electronic and funiture on cash or credit, keeping ducks and making clove oil. The form of ownership is individual businesses and fellowship. The types of industris consist of home industries to small industries. The majority of migrant workers entering the entrepreneurial home - based new ventures. The profile of former migrant workers who were entrepreneurial in Banyumas seen from the destination countris consist of the former migrant workers from South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. Based of the education background  of former migrant workers who were entrepreneurial in Banyumas seen from the educational level is elementary, junior high school or equivalent, senior high school or equivalent and college. Seen of their activities when they overseas that they do a variety of activities besides working, as gathering with friends, follow the association, doing sports, and learning. Banyumas migrant workers background  in entrepreneurship as the need of power, self-fulfillment reasons and financial reasons. The former migrant workers who were entrepreneurial in Banyumas seen from the utilization of remittances there are economic and social remittances, the majority for entrepreneurship, to build a house, buy a ricefield, and buy land.
