OPTIMALISASI PENGGUNAAN PUPUK CAIR ORGANIK USB DENGAN SUPLEMENTASI HERBAL TERHADAP TINGGI TANAMAN DAN DIAMETER BATANG RUMPUT GAJAH DEFOLIASI KEDUA

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mengetahui tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang rumput gajah varietas Hawai dengan penggunaan pupuk cair organik USB (Urin Sapi Bunting) dengan suplementasi herbal. Penelitian menggunakan metode experimental. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Nested (Grouped) dengan 12 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rataan tinggi tanaman rumput gajah P1d1 (257,517 cm), P1d2 (275,400 cm), P1d3 (282,717 cm), P2d1 (243,933 cm), P2d2 (215,223 cm), P2d3 (262,500 cm), P3d1 (282,333 cm), P3d2 (268,533 cm), P3d3 (263,133 cm), P4d1 (305,000), P4d2 (266,400 cm), P4d3 (252,200 cm) dan nilai rataan diameter batang rumput gajah P1d1 (0,7620 cm), P1d2 (1,0248 cm), P1d3 (1,0620 cm), P2d1 (0,9300 cm), P2d2 (0,9953 cm), P2d3 (0,8387 cm), P3d1 (0,8340 cm), P3d2 (1,0573 cm), P3d3 (1,0327 cm), P4d1 (1,1967 cm), P4d2 (1,0613 cm), P4d3 (1,0453 cm). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan perlakuan jenis dan dosis pupuk tidak berpengaruh nyata (P > 0,05) terhadap tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang rumput gajah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk cair organik USB (Urin Sapi Bunting) dengan suplementasi herbal dan peningkatan dosis pupuk dalam penelitian ini belum mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang rumput gajah pada defoliasi kedua.

The study aimed to assess and determine plant height and stem diameter of elephant grass fertilized with liquid organic fertilizer of PCU (Pregnant Cow Urine) supplemented with herbal. The research used was experimental method. The study design was nested design (grouped) with 12 treatments and 3 replications. The results showed that the average value of plant height of elephant grass at P1d1 was 257.517 cm, P1d2 was 275.400 cm, P1d3 was 282.717 cm, P2d1 was 243.933 cm, P2d2 was 215.223 cm, P2d3 was 262.500 cm, P3d1 was 282.333 cm, P3d2 was 268.533 cm, P3d3 was 263.133 cm, P4d1 was 305.000, P4d2 was 266.400 cm, P4d3 252.200 cm and the average value of stem diameter of elephant grass at P1d1 was 0.7620 cm, P1d2 was 1.0248 cm, P1d3 was 1.0620 cm, P2d1 was 0.9300 cm, P2d2 was 0.9953 cm, P2d3 was 0.8387 cm, P3d1 was 0.8340 cm, P3d2 was 1.0573 cm, P3d3 was 1.0327 cm, P4d1 was 1.1967 cm, P4d2 was 1.0613 cm, P4d3 was 1.0453 cm. The results of analysis of variance showed, there was no significant differences (P > 0.05) of plant height and stem diameter of elephant grass. Based on the results of analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of liquid organic of fertilizer of PCU (Pregnant Cow Urine) with herbal supplementation and increased fertilizer dose in this study were not able to increase plant heigh and stem diameter of elephant grass at second defoliation.
