INFEKSI Eimeria spp. TERHADAP PERSENTASE BOBOT SEKUM DAN PERSENTASE BOBOT KARKAS KELINCI LEPAS SAPIH

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh infeksi Eimeria spp. terhadap persentase bobot sekum dan persentase bobot karkas kelinci lepas sapih. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimental dan laboratorium. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kelinci Rex cross jantan, umur 2–3 bulan sebanyak 20 ekor yang diinfeksi koksidiosis dengan bobot badan antara 0.8–1.1 kg. Model analisis yang digunakan adalah Pengujian Fisher (F test). Perlakuan dosis Eimeria spp. yaitu 0 ookista (R0 atau kontrol); 10 ookista (R1); 100 ookista (R2); 1.000 ookista (R3); dan 10.000 ookista (R4). Hasil penelitian dihasilkan rataan persentase bobot sekum R0, R1, R2, R3, dan R4 berturut–turut 2.12±0.18%, 2.72±1.18%, 1.91±0.36%, 2.35±0.28%, dan 2.59±0.47%. Rataan persentase bobot karkas R0, R1, R2, R3, dan R4 berturut–turut sebesar 38.84±3.90%, 38.46±4.95%, 39.82±3.09%, 36.02±2.98%, dan 34.10±5.79%. Hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh dari infeksi Eimeria spp., tidak menimbulkan perubahan terhadap persentase bobot sekum dan persentase bobot karkas (P > 0.05).

The aim of this research was to determine the effect Eimeria spp. infection on the percentage of caecum weight and carcass weight of weaned rabbit. The research used experimental and laboratory methods. The material used in the study were 20 male Rex cross rabbits, aged 2nd–3st month, weighing between 0.8–1.1 kg. The analysis model was used Fisher Testing (F test). The treatment dosage of Eimeria spp. was, 0 oocyst (R0 or control); 10 oocyst (R1); 100 oocyst (R2); 1.000 oocyst (R3); 10.000 oocyst (R4). The results were obtained by averaging percentage of caecum weight R0, R1, R2, R3, dan R4 that is 2.12±0.18%, 2.72±1.18%, 1.91±0.36%, 2.35±0.28%, dan 2.59±0.47%. The average percentage of carcass weight R0, R1, R2, R3, dan R4 respectively 38.84±3.90%, 38.46±4.95%, 39.82±3.09%, 36.02±2.98%, dan 34.10±5.79%. The F test results showed that the effect of infection Eimeria spp., infection not result in changes to the percentage of caecum weight and carcass weight (P > 0.05).
