KONSUMSI PROTEIN DAN BOBOT PROTEIN DAGING AYAM KAMPUNG SUPER YANG DIBERI RANSUM MENGANDUNG TEPUNG DAUN PEPAYA (Carica papaya L)

Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) terhadap konsumsi protein dan bobot protein daging ayam kampung super. Materi yang digunakan adalah 60 ekor ayam kampung super umur 14 hari, dan pakan dengan kadar protein 15,91-16,65% dan energi metabolisme 2920-3105 kkal/kg. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam. Perlakuan terdiri dari R0 = ransum kontrol; R1 = R0 + 2 % tepung daun pepaya; R2 = R0 + 4 % tepung daun pepaya; R3 = R0 + 6 % tepung daun pepaya. Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi protein dan bobot protein daging. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis variansi. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein dan bobot protein daging. Rataan konsumsi protein R0, R1, R2, dan R3 secara berurutan yaitu 5,75±0,69 g ; 6,96±1,27 g; 6,37±0,69 g dan 6,34±1,01 g. Rataan bobot protein daging R0, R1, R2, dan R3 secara berurutan yaitu 81,54±19,62 g; 82,60±22,63 g; 90,09±19,46 g dan 89,11±20,75 g. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah penambahan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) dalam ransum ayam kampung sampai dengan level 6% menghasilkan konsumsi protein dan bobot protein daging yang relatif sama.

The aim of this research was to study the addition of papaya leaf meal (Carica papaya) to the protein consumption and protein weight of super native chicken. The materials were 60 super native chickens of 14 days, and feed content protein 15,91-16,65% and energy metabolism 2920-3105 kkal/kg. A completely randomized design was used 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 5 times and every replication consisted of 3 chickens. The treatment consisted of R0 = control; R1 = R0 + 2% papaya leaf meal; R2 = R0 + 4% papaya leaf meal; R3 = R0 + 6% papaya leaf meal. The observed variables were protein consumption and protein weight. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. Suplementation of papaya leaf meal was not significantly effect (P>0.05) on the protein consumption and protein weight of super native chicken. The average of protein consumption of R0, R1, R2, and R3 were 5,75±0,69 g; 6,96±1,27 g; 6,37±0,69 g dan 6,34±1,01 g. The average of protein weight of R0, R1, R2, and R3 were 81,54±19,62 g; 82,60±22,63 g; 90,09±19,46 g and 89,11±20,75 g. Addition of papaya leaf meal (Carica papaya) in local chicken’s feed up to the level of 6 % give the similiar protein consumption and protein weight.
