PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG DAUN PEPAYA (Carica papaya) DALAM RANSUM TERHADAP PERSENTASE KARKAS DAN NON KARKAS AYAM KAMPUNG

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh level penggunaan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) terhadap peningkatan persentase karkas dan penurunan persentase non karkas Ayam Kampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 22 November 2013 sampai 10 Januari 2014 di Seloarum farm Kecamatan Sokaraja, Kabupaten Banyumas. Materi penelitian menggunakan 60 ekor Ayam Kampung umur 14 hari, bahan pakan yang digunakan yaitu (45% jagung giling, 25% dedak, 8% tepung ikan, 15% bungkil kedelai, 4% minyak kelapa, 2% minyak ikan lemuru, 1% premix), dan tepung daun pepaya. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakuan yang diujicobakan terdiri atas R0: ransum kontrol, R1: R0 + 2 % tepung daun pepaya, R2: R0 + 4% tepung daun pepaya dan R3: R0 + 6% tepung daun pepaya. Peubah yang diamati adalah persentase karkas dan non karkas. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan dengan uji orthogonal polinomial. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase total karkas, persentase bagian punggung, paha, giblet, shank, vischera, dan kepala dan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap persentase karkas bagian dada dan sayap, persentase total non karkas dan persentase bagian leher. Rataan persentase total karkas = 62,70%, rataan persentase punggung = 23,61%, rataan persentase giblet = 17,42%, rataan persentase paha = 26,83%, rataan persentase dada = 18,64%, rataan persentase sayap = 13,46%, rataan persentase total non karkas = 24,92%, rataan persentase kepala = 20,55%, rataan persentase shank = 20,07, rataan persentase vischera = 40,19% dan rataan persentase leher = 19,16 %. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah Penggunaan tepung daun pepaya dalam ransum ayam sampai level 6% pada total persentase karkas relatif sama, sedangkan persentase karkas bagian dada pada level 2% meningkat dan menurun pada level 6%, dan persentase bagian sayap pada level 4% menurun dan meningkat pada level 6%. Karkas terdiri dari punggung, giblet, dan paha relatif sama sampai level 6%. Pada persentase total non karkas pada level 4% menurun dan meningkat pada level 6%, sedangkan pada persentase leher semakin menurun pada level 6%. Non karkas terdiri dari kepala, shank, dan vischera relatif sama sampai level 6%. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada unggas lain, misalkan pada Itik, Ayam Broiler dan Entog.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of the level of use dried papaya meal (Carica papaya) on the increase in the percentage of Native Chicken carcass and examine the effect of the level of use dried papaya meal (Carica papaya) to the decrease of the percentage of non-Native Chicken carcass. The research was conducted in Sokaraja, Seloarum farm, Banyumas from November 22th 2013 until January 10th 2014. The materials of research which were used Native Chicken females of 14 days old as many as 60 heads, a wide range of feed materials which (45% milling corn, bran 25%, 8% fish meal, 15% soybean meal, coconut oil 4%, 2% fish oil lemuru, 1% premix), and dried papaya meal. The research was conducted by invivo experimental method, by using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The tested treatments were R0: control diet, R1: R0+ 2% dried papaya meal, R2: R0+ 4% dried papaya meal and R3: R0+6% dried papaya meal. Variables measured were the percentage of carcass and non carcass. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by orthogonal polynomial test. The results of variance analysis showed that the treatment effect was not significant (P> 0.05) on the percentage of total carcass, the percentage of the back, thighs, giblet, shank, vischera, and head and significantly (P <0.05) on carcass percentage chest and wings, the percentage of total non-carcass and percentage neck. The average percentage of carcass = 62,70%, the average percentage of chest = 18,64%, the average percentage of wings = 13,46%, the average percentage of back = 23,61%, the average percentage of thighs = 26,83%, the average percentage of giblet = 17,42%, the average percentage of non carcass = 24,92%, the average percentage of shank = 20,07%, the average percentage of head = 20,55%, the average percentage of vischera = 40,19%, and the average percentage of neck = 19,16%. The conclusion of the study is the addition of dried papaya (Carica papaya) meal in chicken feed up to a level of 6% carcass yield relatively similar percentage, while the percentage of carcass chest at the level of 2% increases and decreases in the level of 6%, and the percentage of the wing at the level of 4% decrease and increase at the level of 6%. The carcass consists of back, giblet, thigh and relatively similar to the level of 6%. In percentage of total non-carcass at the level of 4% decrease and increase in the level of 6%, while the percentage decreased neck at the level of 6%. Non-carcass consists of a head, shank, and vischera relatively similar to the level of 6%. Further research needs to be done on other birds, Duck, Chicken Broiler and Entog.
