POTENSI JAMUR PENDEGRADASI LIMBAH CAIR BATIK DI PERAIRAN DAN PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT SEKITARNYA DI DESA SUDAGARAN KECAMATAN BANYUMAS KABUPATEN BANYUMAS

Industri batik di Desa Sudagaran, Kecamatan Banyumas, Kabupaten Banyumas belum memiliki Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL). Limbah cair batik yang dihasilkan mencemari perairan litoral Sungai Serayu. Pencemaran yang terjadi dapat berdampak terhadap lingkungan sosial masyarakat. Pengolahan limbah cair batik perlu dilakukan. Salah satunya yaitu dengan pemanfaatan jamur. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui jamur yang berpotensi mendegradasi limbah cair batik di perairan; mengetahui kualitas fisik kimiawi perairan litoral Sungai Serayu yang terpapar limbah cair batik; mengetahui kualitas fisik kimiawi limbah cair batik di Desa Sudagaran Kecamatan Banyumas Kabupaten Banyumas; mengetahui persepsi masyarakat tentang limbah cair batik di Desa Sudagaran Kecamatan Banyumas Kabupaten Banyumas; menganalisis hubungan antara sifat fisik kimiawi perairan yang terpapar limbah cair batik, potensi jamur dalam mendegradasi limbah batik, dan persepsi masyarakat tentang limbah cair batik. Pengambilan sampel air untuk mengisolasi jamur dilakukan di outlet pembuangan limbah batik dan di perairan litoral Sungai Serayu dengan pengulangan tiga kali. Pengambilan sampel air Sungai Serayu dilakukan di lima stasiun dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Sampling persepsi masyarakat dilakukan secara random sampling, pada masyarakat di Desa Sudagaran Kecamatan Banyumas Kabupaten Banyumas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah jamur yang berhasil diisolasi sebanyak sembilan spesies dan dikelompokkan ke dalam enam genera seperti Mucor, Fusarium, Penicillium, Curvularia, Aspergillus, dan Cladosporium. Jamur yang berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai agen pendegradasi limbah cair batik adalah Fusarium sp. dan Penicillium sp.1. Limbah cair industri batik (parameter yang melebihi baku mutu berupa kadar BOD5, COD, dan fenol total) dan perairan litoral Sungai Serayu (parameter yang melebihi baku mutu berupa kadar BOD5, COD, krom total, fenol total, NH3, minyak dan lemak, serta H2S) telah tercemar. Persepsi buruk masyarakat tentang limbah cair batik terjadi di sekitar industri batik (68,75%) dan sekitar perairan litoral Sungai Serayu (58,06%). Secara umum, limbah cair industri batik telah tercemar dan menyebabkan perairan litoral Sungai Serayu juga tercemar, sehingga masyarakat berpersepsi buruk.

Batik industry in Sudagaran Village, Banyumas District, Banyumas Regency has not yet had its own Installation of Liquid Waste Management (IPAL). Batik liquid waste has always been dumped to Serayu River, and it risks polluting the litoral zone of Serayu River. This pollution may affect the social environment in the neighborhood. Therefore, a good management of batik liquid waste is highly required. One of the techniques is by utilizing fungi. This research aims to find out which fungi which are most potential to degrade batik liquid waste; find out the physical and chemical quality of water in litoral zone of Serayu River which has been contaminated with batik liquid waste in Sudagaran Village, Banyumas District, Banyumas Regency; find out the perception of local residents towards batik liquid water in Sudagaran Village; and analyze the relationship between the physical and chemical characteristics of water which has been contaminated with batik liquid waste and the potency of fungi in degrading batik waste as well as local people’s perception towards the waste. Water sampling to isolate fungi was done in an outlet through which batik liquid waste was dumped and in litoral zone of Serayu River, and this activity was conducted three times. Water sampling in Serayu River was done in five stations and repeated three times. For people’s perception variable, random sampling technique was conducted, and the respondents were the people who live in Sudagaran Village, Banyumas District, Banyumas Regency. The findings of the research show that nine species of fungi have successfully been isolated and grouped into six genera such as Mucor, Fusarium, Penicillium, Curvularia, Aspergillus, and Cladosporium. Fungi that have potency to grow as an agent to degrade batik liquid waste are Fusarium sp. and Penicillium sp.1. Liquid waste from batik industry (parameters that have exceeded quality standard are the levels of BOD5, COD, and total fenol) and litoral zone in Serayu River (parameters that have exceeded the quality standard are the levels of BOD5, COD, total chrome, total fenol, NH3, oil and fat, and H2S) has been polluted. People’s negative perception towards batik liquid waste found around the industry is of 68.75% while that in litoral zone of Serayu River is of 58.06%. In short, contaminated liquid waste from batik industry that made water in litoral zone of Serayu River polluted has led topeople’s negative perception.
