Latar belakang: Sectio caesarea (SC) merupakan suatu prosedur pembedahan untuk mengeluarkan janin dengan cara pembedahan dinding perut dan dinding rahim. Dampak SC salah satunya mempengaruhi inisiasi ASI. Intervensi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mempercepat inisiasi ASI adalah masase payudara dan menyusu pasif. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan masase payudara dan menyusu pasif terhadap inisiasi ASI. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasy experiment dengan rancangan penelitian post test only design. Metode  pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Total sampel penelitian sebanyak 50 responden yang dibagi menjadi 25 responden dengan perlakuan masase payudara dan 25 responden dengan menyusu pasif. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan antara masase payudara dengan menyusu pasif terhadap inisiasi ASI pada ibu post sectio caesrea di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Uji chi-square menunjukan p value <0,05 (p value= 0,031). Kesimpulan:  Ada perbedaan antara masase payudara dengan menyusu pasif terhadap inisiasi ASI pada ibu post sectio caesrea di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto.

Background: Sectio Caesarea ( SC ) is a surgical procedure to expend the fetus by surgical step between abdominal and uterine. One of the impact from the SC procedure can be affected for breast milk  initiation. There are some interventions can be used to accelerate breast milk  initiation, for example breast massage and passive breastfeeding. Purpose : The research aim was to know the differences between breast massage and passive breastfeeding to breast milk  initiation. Method : The research used quasy experiments with post test only design. The sampling method was taken by purposive sampling. Total samples were 50 respondents who divided into 25 respondents with breast massage treatment and 25 respondents with passive breastfeeding. Results : The results showed there was difference between breast massage with passive breastfeeding to breast milk  initiation on post section caesarea procedure at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto hospital with p value < 0.05 ( p value = 0.031 ) in Chi-square test. Conclusion : There was difference between breast massage with passive breastfeeding  to breast milk  initiation on post section caesarea procedure at  Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto hospitals.
