PENGGUNAAN TEPUNG BUNGA ROSELLA (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) DALAM RANSUM AYAM ARAB TERHADAP BOBOT TELUR DAN INDEKS TELUR

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan tepung bunga rosella terhadap bobot telur dan indeks telur ayam Arab. Penelitian dilaksanakan mulai 2 Agustus - 30 September 2013 di Kelompok Ternak Wanita Karya, Desa Karanggude, Kecamatan Karanglewas, Kabupaten Banyumas. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam Arab betina umur 8 bulan sebanyak 60 ekor. Peralatan yang digunakan antara lain: kandang baterai, timbangan analitik kapasitas 200 g, sendok, blender, jangka sorong, alat tulis, kandang baterai sejumlah 60 unit. Pakan yang digunakan terdiri dari jagung, dedak, tepung bunga rosella dan konsentrat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Data dianalisis variansi untuk mengetahui pengaruh antar perlakuan. Jumlah perlakuan empat dengan ulangan lima kali dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari tiga ekor ayam Arab. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: R0 = Tanpa tepung bunga rosella, R1 = Penggunaan tepung bunga rosella 2%, R2 = Penggunaan tepung bunga rosella 4%, R3 = Penggunaan tepung bunga rosella 6%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung bunga rosella memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap bobot telur dan indeks telur ayam Arab yang dihasilkan. Rataan bobot telur sebesar R0 = 44,09 ± 1,32 g, R1 = 43,49 ± 1,96 g, R2= 42,87 ± 4,39 g, R3 = 40,31 ± 5,90 g. Rataan indeks telur sebesar R0 = 75,15 ± 1,51 %, R1 = 74,03 ± 3,14 %, R2 = 71,13 ± 6,14 %, R3 = 66,93 ± 9,91 %. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penggunaan tepung bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) level 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6% dalam ransum ayam Arab menghasilkan bobot telur dan indeks telur yang relatif sama.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the influence of the use of flour egg weights of rosella flowers and index of Arabian hens eggs. Research was begun 2nd august–1st October, 2013 in a group of cattle Wanita Karya, karanggude village, karanglewas sub-district, banyumas regency. Research materials that used were 60 Arabians hens at age of eight months. The equipment used were: a cage batteries, the scales analytic the capacity of 200 g, a spoon, a blender, a period of mizzen, stationery, a cage battery a number of 60 units. The cage provided with a feed and a drink. The feed that used is consisting of maize, bran, flour flowers rosella and concentrate. The study was conducted using experimental in vivo and using completely randomized design (CRD). Treatments which tested were using no rosella (R0), using rosella powder 2% (R1), using Rosella powder 4% (R2), and using Rosella powder 6% (R3). The results showed that the addition of rosella flowers flour gives no real influence on the weight of the eggs and index Arabian hens eggs generated (P>0.05). Equivalent weight of an egg of R0 = 44,09 ± 1,32 g, R1 = 43,49 ± 1,96 g, R2 = 42,87 ± 4,39 g, R3 = 40,31 ± 5,90 g. Equivalent egg index of R0 = 75,15 ± 1,51%, R1 = 74,03 ± 3,14%, R2 = 71,13 ± 6,14%, R3 = 66,93 ± 9,91%. Each treatment was repeated five times and each repetition was consisted of three hens. The variables of measure were Weight of hens and Eggs Index of Arabian eggs. The analyze of data using analysis of variance. The results of variance analysis showed that the use of rosella powder did not affect significantly (P>0.05) on eggs weight and eggs index of Arabian hens eggs. The conclusion of this research is the use of Rosella powder with levels 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% as Arabian hens feed have no effect on weight and index of hens.
