Penggunaan Tepung Daun Pepaya (Carica papaya) dalam Pakan terhadap Konsumsi Pakan dan Pertumbuhan Ayam Kampung Super

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh dan level optimal penggunaan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) terhadap konsumsi pakan dan pertumbuhan ayam Kampung Super. Materi penelitian adalah ayam Kampung Super unsex umur lima minggu sebanyak 60 ekor dengan rataan bobot badan awal seragam berdasarkan uji homogenitas, yakni 170,12 ± 34,10 gram. Perlakuan penelitian, yaitu R0 = pakan basal (tanpa penggunaan tepung daun pepaya), R1 = pakan basal + tepung daun pepaya 2%, R2 = pakan basal + tepung daun pepaya 4%, dan R3 = pakan basal + tepung daun pepaya 6%. Peubah yang diamati yaitu, konsumsi pakan, pertumbuhan absolut, dan pertumbuhan relatif. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode experimental in vivo dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun pepaya dalam pakan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi pakan, pertumbuhan absolut, dan pertumbuhan relatif. Rataan konsumsi pakan, yaitu 1275,38 ± 176,42 g/ekor, rataan pertumbuhan absolut, yaitu 64,05 ± 8,78 g/ekor/minggu, dan rataan pertumbuhan relatif, yaitu 38,59 ± 6,33%. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh penggunaan tepung daun pepaya sampai kadar 6% dalam pakan menghasilkan pengaruh terhadap konsumsi pakan, pertumbuhan absolut, dan pertumbuhan relatif yang relatif sama pada ayam Kampung Super sampai umur 10 minggu.

The research aimed to evaluate the effect of uses and optimum level uses of papaya leaf meal (Carica papaya) on feed consumption and growth of Super Native chicken since age of 5-10 weeks. The materials of research were five-week old unsex Super Native chicken as many as 60 chickens with uniform first body weight average based on homogeneity test, namely 170.12 ± 34.10 gram. The treatments of research were R0 = basal feed (without uses papaya leaf meal), R1 = basal feed + papaya leaf meal 2%, R2 = basal feed + papaya leaf meal 4%, and R3 = basal feed + papaya leaf meal 6%. The variables measured were feed consumption, absolute growth, and relative growth of Super Native chicken. The research was performed using in vivo experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The analysis of variance results showed that the uses of papaya leaf meal did not significantly (P>0.05) affect feed consumption, absolute growth, and relative growth. The mean of feed consumption was 1275.38 ± 176.42 g/chicken , the mean of absolute growth was 64.05 ± 8.78 g/chicken/week, and the mean of relative growth was 38.59 ± 6.33%. The conclusion of this research is, the use of papaya leaf meal until 6% in feed resulting in similar feed consumption, absolute growth, and relative growth of Super Native chicken until 10-week old.
