Bobot dan Presentase Hati, Empedu dan Lemak Abdomen Ayam Kampung Super yang diberi Ransum Mengandung Tepung Daun Pepaya (Carica papaya)

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) terhadap presentase bobot hati, empedu dan lemak abdomen ayam kampung. Penelitian dilaksanakan dari tanggal 22 November 2013 sampai tanggal 10 Januari 2014 di Seloarum farm Kecamatan Sokaraja. Materi yang digunakan adalah 60 ekor ayam kampung super umur 14 hari, bahan pakan yang digunakan antara lain jagung giling, dedak, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, minyak kelapa, minyak ikan lemuru, premix dan tepung daun pepaya sedangkan peralatan yang digunakan antara lain timbangan analog, timbangan digital serta peralatan kandang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan, setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 3 ekor ayam. Perlakuan terdiri dari R0 = ransum kontrol; R1 = R0 + 2 % tepung daun pepaya; R2 = R0 + 4 % tepung daun pepaya; R3 = R0 + 6 % tepung daun pepaya. Peubah yang diamati adalah presentase bobot hati, empedu dan lemak abdomen.Hasil analisis variansi menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap presentase bobot hati, empedu dan lemak abdomen. Rataan presentase bobot hati R0, R1, R2, dan R3 secara berurutan yaitu 2,578% ± 0,25 ; 2,485% ± 0,16 ; 2,673% ± 0,27 dan 2,760% ± 0,27. Rataan presentase bobot empedu R0, R1, R2, dan R3 secara berurutan yaitu 0.112% ± 0,042 ; 0.108% ± 0,026 ; 0.101% ± 0,006 dan 0.091% ± 0,019. Rataan presentase bobot lemak abdomen R0, R1, R2, dan R3 secara berurutan yaitu 1.838 % ± 0,76 ; 1.12% ± 0,46 ; 1.002% ± 0,56 dan 0.912% ± 0,6. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah penambahan tepung daun pepaya (Carica papaya) dalam ransum ayam kampung sampai dengan level 6% menghasilkan presentase bobot hati, empedu dan lemak abdomen yang relatif sama. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai penggunaan tepung daun pepaya dengan pemberian dua hari sekali untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi hati dan empedu sehingga performa ayam tercapai.

The aim of this research was to study the influence of addition of dried papaya meal (Carica papaya) to the percentage weights of liver, bile and fat abdomen of local chicken. Research was held on 22nd of November 2013 until 10th of January 2014 in Seloarum farm sub-district Sokaraja. The materials used in this study were 60 chickens with the age of 14 days, some of feed stuff such as grilled corn, fish meal, rice bran, soy bean meal, coconut oil, fish oil, premix and dried papaya meal. The tools used include analog scales, digital scales and farm equipment. The methods used in this study was a completely randomized design with 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 5 times and every replication consisted of 3 chickens. The treatment consisted of R0 = control; R1 = R0 + 2% dried papaya meal; R2 = R0 + 4% dried papaya meal; R3 = R0 + 6% dried papaya meal. The observed variables were percentages of the weight of the liver, bile and abdominal fat. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results of analysis showed that the treatment effect was not significant (P>0.05) on the percentage of the weight of liver, bile and abdominal fat. The percentages of the weights of the liver of R0, R1, R2, and R3 in sequence were namely 2.578% ± 0.25; 2.485% ± 0.16; 2.673% ± 0.27 and 2.760% ± 0.27. The percentage of weight of bile of R0, R1, R2, and R3 in sequence were namely 0.112 % ± 0.042; 0.108 % ± 0.026; 0.101 % ± 0.006 and 0.091 % ± 0,019. The percentage of weight of abdominal fat of R0, R1, R2, and R3 in sequence were namely 1.838% ± 0.76; 1.120 % ± 0.46; 1.002 % ± 0.56 and 0.912% ± 0.6. Based on the research above, it can be concluded that the addition of dried papaya meal (Carica papaya) in local chicken’s feed up to the level of 6 % give the similiar percentage of the weights of liver, bile and abdominal fat. Further research needs to be done on the use of dried papaya meal by administering once in two days to optimize a function of dried papaya meal and optimize the performances of local chicken.
