Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menggambarkan analisis idiom pada film The Dark knight rises, apa saja tipenya, ciri nya, lalu fungsi dari idiom yang ada di dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan data yang diambil dari percakapan yang ada di dalam film The Dark Knight Rises. Alasan peneliti memilih idiom adalah karena peneliti sangat tertarik untuk menganalisis kata-kata khusus yang memiliki banyak arti tersirat dan makna kiasan, jadi hal tersebut dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan peneliti mengenai kajian studi semacam ini.
Metode yang dipakai peneliti adalah metode kualitatif. Peneliti menjawab pertanyaan penelitian dalam bentuk paragraf dengan menggambarkan situasi konteks dan analisis. Ada 83 data yang dipakai sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan pengelompokan tipe idiom, peneliti menemukan 11 data yg termasuk dalam pure idiom, 13 semi idiom, dan 59 literal idiom. Kemudian berdasarkan pengelompokan ciri-ciri idiom, peneliti menemukan 28 conventional phrase, 9 figurativeness, dan 46 phrasal verbs. Peneliti tidak menemukan data yang termasuk dalam ciri alteration of grammatical rule dan alteration of word order. Setelah itu, berdasarkan pengelompokan fungsi idiom, peneliti menemukan 59 data yang termasuk dalam fungsi referensial, dan 24 data yang termasuk dalam fungsi pragmatik.

This research was conducted to describe the analysis of idiom used in The Dark knight rises movie, to find out the types, the features and then the functions of idiom that happened in the movie. This research used the data that were taken from conversations in The Dark Knight Rises Movie. The reasons why the researcher chooses idiom is because the researcher is interested in analyzing the special words that have many hidden meanings and non literal meaning, so that it can enlarge the knowledge of the researcher about this kind of study. 
The method that the researcher uses is qualitative method. The researcher answers the research question in form of paragraphs by describing the contexts and analyses. There were 83 data that were used as samples. Based on the classification of types of idiom, the researcher found 11 data that are included as pure idiom, 13 semi idioms, and 59 literal idioms. Based on the classification features of idiom, the researcher found 28 conventional phrase, 9 figurativeness, and 46 phrasal verbs. The researcher did not find any data that are included in alteration of grammatical rules and alteration of word order. Then, based on the classification functions of idiom, the researcher found 59 data that are included in referential function and 24 data that are included in pragmatic function.
