Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)

Latar Belakang: Diskusi merupakan salah satu metode dalam pendekatan SCL Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK). Hasil belajar mahasiswa dapat dilihat dari aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Kemampuan afektif memegang peran penting terhadap tingkat kesuksesan seseorang. Karakteristik afektif seperti sikap, minat, nilai, konsep diri dan moral setiap mahasiswa dalam mengikuti diskusi kelompok berbeda-beda. 
Tujuan Penelitian: Mengetahui hubungan karakteristik afektif dengan kemampuan afektif mahasiswa Jurusan Keperawatan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman dalam metode diskusi dengan pendekatan SCL.
Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan desain analitik korelasi dan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dengan proporsionate stratified random samplingdengan jumlah 96 responden. Analisa data univariat dan bivariat. Analisa bivariat menggunakan uji Spearman Rank. 
Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis Spearman Rank menunjukkan koefisien korelasi (r = 0.648) dengan p value =  0.000 pada =0.05. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara karakteristik afektif dengan kemampuan afektif. Koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.648 menunjukkan hubungan yang cukup bermakna atau sedang antara karakteristik afektif dengan kemampuan afektif. 
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan kekuatan hubungan cukup bermakna antara karakteristik afektif mahasiswa dengan kemampuan afektif mahasiswa dalam metode diskusi dengan pendekatan SCL.

Background: The discussion was one method of SCL approach in Competency Based Curriculum (KBK). Student learning outcomes could be seen from the aspect of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Affective ability has an important role with respect to the level of one's success. The student has different affective characteristics such as attitudes, interests, values, self-concept, and moral in group discussion.
Objective: This research was aimed to examine the correlation between student’s affective characteristics with student’s affective abilities in discussions method with SCL approach at Department of Nursing, Jenderal Soedirman University. 
Methods: This research was a quantitative non- experimental design with analytic correlation and cross sectional approach. Sampling method with applied proporsionate stratified random sampling and the number of samples was 96 respondents. The correlation of variables were analyzed with Spearman rank. 
Results: Based on the bivariate analysis, it shows that there are a significant correlation between student’s affective characteristics with student’s affective abilities, and it was provide the p value = 0.000 with =0.05. Correlation coefficient was 0.648 showed a substantial correlation between affective characteristics with affective abilities.
Conclusion: There was significant and substantial correlation between affective characteristics with affective abilities of students in the discussion method with SCL approach.
