GAMBARAN PERAN PERAWAT TERHADAP PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN SPIRITUAL PASIEN DI RUANG ICU RSUD dr. R. GOETENG TAROENADIBRATA PURBALINGGA

ABSTRAK

Latar Belakang : Spiritual pasien ICU sangatlah penting. Spiritual akan dijadikan pasien sebagai cara mencari arti dari setiap peristiwa kehidupan yang dihadapi termasuk penderitaan karena sakit. Perawat yang memandang pasien secara holistik mempunyai peran penting dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual.
Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran perawat terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pasien di ruang ICU RSUD dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga.
Metode : Desain penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Sedangkan cara pemilihan partisipan dengan metode purposive sampling.
Hasil : Hasil penelitian ini menemukan 8 tema dari 5 tujuan khusus. Tema-tema tersebut antaralain : 1) pengertian  spiritual, 2) fungsi spiritual, 3) penyebab distres spiritual, 4) ciri-ciri pasien distres spiritual, 5) tindakan mandiri perawat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual, 6) tindakan kolaborasi perawat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual, 7) hambatan pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual, dan 8) kesadaran perawat akan peran perawat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan spiritual pasien ICU.
Kesimpulan : Delapan tema yang dihasilkan menggambarkan pemahaman perawat tentang spiritual, upaya yang dilakukan perawat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual, hambatan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual, dan kesadaran perawat akan perannya dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan spiritual pasien ICU.

DESCRIPTION OF THE NURSES ROLEIN THE FULFILLMENT 
OF PATIENT’S SPIRITUAL NEEDS IN THE ICU ROOM OF RSUD dr. R.
GOETENG TAROENADIBRATA PURBALINGGA

ABSTRACT

Background : Spirituality of ICU patients is very important. Spirituality will be as patient’s way for searching the meaning of life including an affliction due to illness. Nurses who view the patient holistically have an important role in spiritual needs.
Objective : The objective of this study was to determine the role of nurses to spiritual needs of patients in the ICU room of RSUD dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga.
Methods : This study is a qualitative descriptive method with phenomenological approach. While the way participants were selected by purposive sampling method.
Results : The results of this study found the 8 themes of 5 special purposes. These themes are : 1) definition of spirituality, 2) function of spirituality, 3) the factors of spiritual distres, 4) the characteristics of patients with spiritual distres, 5) the act of independent nurse in fulfillment spiritual needs, 6) the act of collaboration nurse in fulfillment spiritual needs, 7) the obstacles fulfillment spiritual needs, and 8) nurses awareness about the role to fulfill the spiritual needs.
Conclusion : Eight themes describes nurses understanding about spirituality, nurses effort in the fulfillment of spiritual needs, the obstacles fulfillment spiritual needs, and the awareness of the role of nurses in the fulfillment of patient’s spiritual needs in the ICU.
