Penelitian ini berjudul “Dampak Kenaikan Harga BBM Terhadap Pendapatan Dan Pengeluaran Rumah Tangga Di Kota Purwokerto”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui untuk mengetahui perbedaan pendapatan rumah tangga pengojeg sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan BBM. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengeluaran rumah tangga sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan BBM. Untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan daya bayar kredit pengojeg sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan BBM.. Hipotesis pertama adalah ada perbedaan pendapatan rumah tangga pengojeg sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan harga BBM. Hipotesis yang kedua adalah ada perbedaan pengeluaran sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan harga BBM.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dari masing-masing variabel tersebut adalah dengan metode analisis uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kenaikan harga Bahan Bakar Minyak rata-rata sebesar 40 persen yang terjadi pada para pengojeg stasiun purwokerto menyebabkan penurunan penumpang. Penurunan penumpang yang disertai dengan kenaikan tarif masih memberikan kenaikan pada penerimaan kotor para pengojeg yaitu sebesar 4,74 persen. Tetapi, kenaikan penerimaan kotor ini diiringi dengan kenaikan pengeluaran yang meliputi biaya kehidupan sehari-hari dan biaya operasional para pengojeg, kenaikan pengeluaran para pengojeg 21,19 persen akibat naiknya harga BBM ini menyebabkan penurunan yang cukup besar pada penerimaan bersih yang diterima para pengojeg setiap hari kerjanya, yaitu sebesar 15 persen.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perubahan pendapatan rumah tangga pengojeg sebelum dan sesudah kenaikan harga BBM sementara itu, kenaikan harga BBM berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengeluaran rumah tangga pengojeg.
Implikasi yang dapat diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah dalam rangka upaya peningkatan pendapatan rumah tangga pengojeg, hendaknya dilakukan penghematan biaya operasional. Penghematan biaya operasional disini bisa dengan cara membawa makan dari rumah atau dengan cara mengurangi merokok atau berhenti merokok. Pemerintah diharapkan melakukan pemerataan dalam penyaluran program-program bantuan seperti beras miskin, beasiswa dll. Hal tersebut dapat membantu meminimumkan pengeluaran rumah tangga masyarakat golongan menengah ke bawah, seperti rumah tangga pengojeg motor. Dalam rangka peningkatan pendapatan para pengojeg hendaknya para pengojeg mencari pekerjaan sampingan lain selain mengojeg.

This study is entitled " The analysis of the Fuel Price Increase Implication to motor rental rider Household Income And Expenditure In Purwokerto ". The purpose of this study is to find out the difference of motor rental rider household income before and after the fuel price hike. To find out the difference of motor rental rider household expenditure both food and non- food needs before and after the fuel price increase. To find out whether there is any difference of the ability to pay a credit of motor rental rider before and after the fuel price hike . The first hypothesis indicates that there is a difference of motor rental rider household income before and after the fuel price increase. The second hypothesis indicates that there is a difference in both food and non- expenditure eat before and after the fuel price increase.
The method used to find out the effect of each variable is the paired t test analysis method. The result indicates that the increase of average fare which is 33.33 percent causes a decrease of passengers. The decrease of passengers is accompanied by the increase of fare that still gives the increase of motor rental rider gross income which is 4.74 percent. However , the increase of gross income is followed by the increase of expenditure which includes their basic needs and operational expenditure , the increase of expenditure of  motor rental rider is 21.19 percent due to fuel price hike that lead to a big amount of net reduction of their daily work, which is 15 percent.
Based on the research result, it can be concluded that there is no change in household income motor rental rider both before and after fuel price increase. Meanwhile, the fuel price hike is significantly and positively effect to motor rental rider household expenditure. The implication that can be derived from this research, in order to increase of motor rental rider household income, motor rental rider should make the operational cost economically. The Operational cost saving can be done by bringing foods from home, reducing or quitting smoking. The government is expected to distribute equally of aid programs such as rice for the poor, scholarships etc. Those can minimize household expenditure of lower and middle class society such as motor rental rider household. In order to increase of motor rental rider household income, they should find another job or may establish a motor rental rider cooperative and the cooperative outcome may be an additional income of motor rental rider.
