KADAR LEMAK DAN KOLESTEROL KARKAS ITIK RAMBON YANG DIBERI TEPUNG DAUN SALAM (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) DALAM RANSUM

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) dalam ransum terhadap kadar lemak dan kolesterol Karkas Itik Rambon jantan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di peternakan itik Desa Dukuhwaluh, Kecamatan Kembaran, Kabupaten Banyumas, Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Unsoed dan Laboratorium Kimia Anorganik Jurusan MIPA Fakultas Sains dan Teknik Unsoed Purwokerto. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah R0 = ransum basal tanpa tepung daun salam, R1 = R0 + 3% tepung daun salam, R2 = R0 + 6% tepung daun salam, R3 = R0 + 9% tepung daun salam. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis variansi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rataan kadar lemak karkas R0, R1, R2, dan R3 berturut-turut adalah 22,41%, 22,30%, 23,83%, dan 22,42%. Sedangkan rataan kadar kolesterol karkas R0, R1, R2, dan R3 berturut-turut adalah 252,03 mg%, 257,05 mg%, 254,11 mg%, dan 257,73 mg%. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap kadar lemak dan kolesterol karkas. Penambahan tepung daun salam (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) dengan level 3%, 6% dan 9% dalam ransum belum dapat menurunkan kadar lemak dan kolesterol karkas Itik Rambon jantan.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the influence of salam leaves meal (Syzygium polyanthum Wight) supplementation to fat and cholesterol of carcass Rambon duck. The research were conducted at duck farms Dukuhwaluh Village, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency, Laboratory of Feed and Animal Nutrition at Faculty of Animal Science and Laboratory of Anorganic Chemistry at Faculty of Science and Engineering Unsoed Purwokerto. The treatments were R0 = feed without salam leaves meal, R1 = R0 + 3% salam leaves meal, R2 = R0 + 6% salam leaves meal, R3 = R0 + 9% salam leaves meal. Its data were collected and analyzed by analysis of variance. The results is effect informed that the average fat content of carcass R0, R1, R2 and R3 were 22,41%, 22,30%, 23,83% and 22,42% respectively. While the average cholesterol levels of carcass R0, R1, R2 and R3 were 252,03 mg%, 257,05 mg%, 254,11 mg%, and 257,73 mg%. The statistical analysis showed that the treatment had no significantly effect (P>0,05) on fat and cholesterol carcass. The addition of salam leaves meal (Syzygium polyanthum Wight ) at a level of 3%, 6 % and 9 % have not been able to reduce fat and cholesterol carcass Rambon drake.
