THE INFLUENCE OF NET PROFIT MARGIN, RETURN ON ASSETS, CURRENT RATIO, AND CASH FLOW FROM OPERATION ON DIVIDEND PAYOUT RATIO

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh net profit margin, return on assets, current ration, dan cash flow from operation terhadap dividend payout ratio. Penelitian ini adalah studi empiris pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2012. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah semua perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2009 sampai dengan tahun 2012. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dimana sampel yang dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan tertentu. Selanjutnya, teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier. Berdasarkan analisis data, kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah net profit margin berpengaruh positif terhadap dividend payout ratio, return on assets berpengaruh positif terhadap dividend payout ratio, current ratio berpengaruh positif terhadap dividend payout ratio, dan cash flow from operation berpengaruh positif terhadap dividend payout ratio.

The aims of this research are to analyze the influence of net profit margin, return on assets, current ratio, and cash flow from operation on dividend payout ratio. This research is an empirical study on manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange between 2009 until 2012. The population of this research is all manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange since 2009 until 2012. Samples were selected using purposive sampling method, non–random sample selection, whereby samples are chosen based on certain considerations. Furthermore, the technique of data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on data analysis, the conclusions are net profit margin has a positive influence on dividend payout ratio, return on assets has a positive influence on dividend payout ratio, current ratio has a positive influence on dividend payout ratio, and cash flow from operation has a positive influence on dividend payout ratio.
