Abstrak
	Penelitian yang berjudul “The Analysis of Tourette Syndrome in the Movie “Front of the Class” bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tic dan situasi ketika Brad Cohen memproduksi tic secara sering dan intensif.
	Dalam penelitian ini, pendekatan psycholinguistics dan teori tentang tic digunakan untuk meneliti tic yang diproduksi Brad Cohen di film tersebut. Kemudian analisis tersebut dijabarkan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif.
Terdapat tiga langkah untuk meneliti tic dalam film ini. Langkah pertama yaitu menonton film untuk memahami isi film tersebut untuk pengumpulan data. Langkah kedua adalah mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis tic dan situasi ketika Brad Cohen memproduksi tic secara sering dan intensif. Langkah terakhir adalah menjelaskan jenis-jenis tic tersebut dan situasinya didukung bukti-bukti yang ada di dalam film.  
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat tiga jenis tic yang diproduksi Brad Cohen dalam film tersebut yaitu simple vocal tics, simple motor tics and complex motor tics. Brad Cohen memproduksi tic lebih sering and intensif ketika dia mengajar, berbicara tentang hal-hal sensitive, mengendarai sepeda, belajar di kelas, persiapan dalam melamar pekerjaan, dalam interview pekerjaan, dan ketika diwawancarai oleh kepala sekolah di depan umum setelah konser orchestra. Tic-nya terjadi secara sering dan intensif karena dia merasa terlalu gembira, tertekan, gugup, harus berkonsentrasi, terlalu banyak rangsangan dari luar, tersinggung, marah, sedih, terlalu percaya diri, dan takut penghakiman orang lain terhadap dirinya.

Abstract
	The research entitled The Analysis of Tourette Syndrome in the Movie “Front of the Class” is aimed to analyze the types of tics and the situations when Brad Cohen produced tics frequently and intensively.
	In this research, psycholinguistics approach and tics theory are applied to analyze the Brad Cohen’s tics in the movie. Then, the analysis is presented by using descriptive qualitative method.
There are three steps in analyzing the data in this research. Those steps are watching the movie many times to understand the content of the movie in collecting the data, identifying the types of tics and situations when Brad Cohen produced tics frequently and intensively, and explaining the tics and the situations supporting with the evidences from movie.
The findings show that there are three types of tics of Brad Cohen in the movie. They are simple vocal tics, simple motor tics and complex motor tics. Brad Cohen produced tics more frequently and intensively when he was teaching, talking about sensitive conversation, riding bike, studying in the classroom, preparing to propose jobs, being in job interview, and being interviewed by school principal in front of people after orchestra concert. His tics occurred more frequent and intensive because he was over-excited, stressed, nervous, concentrated, over-stimulated, offended, angry, sad, over-confident, and fearful of judgment.
