Penelitian ini lebih jauh mengenai tingkat partisiasi orang tua di dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, sangat penting untuk dilakukan khususnya diwilayah Kecamatan Ajibarang yakni Desa Lesmana dan Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara. 
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan partisipasi orang tua dalam Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini pada masyarakat pedesaan yaitu di Desa Lesmana Kecamatan Ajibarang dengan masyarakat kota di wilayah Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara.
Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara partisipasi orangtua di Desa Lesman Kecamatan Ajibarang dengan Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriftip kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh orang tua siswa PAUD Desa Lesmana Kecamatan Ajibarang berjumlah 38 responden yang tersebar dalam 2 PAUD dan Kelurahan Gerendeng Purwokerto Utara berjumlah  53 responden yang tersebar dalam 3 PAUD. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik total sampling, yaitu teknik penentuan dengan seluruh populasi sebagai responden atau sampel (sugiono 2009), populasi yang ada dengan jumlah 91 responden. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode angket. Pada penelitian ini, analisis data menggunakan uji t.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga thit adalah sebesar 2,142. Untuk menguji signifikan nilai tersebut harus dikonsultasikan pada tabel nilai-nilai distribusi t. Nilai ttabel dengan nilai df = 37 pada taraf signifikan 5% adalah 2,019. Jadi, nilai thit =2,142 di atas nilai ttabel = 2,019. Artinya, ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara partisipasi orangtua di Desa Lesman Kecamatan Ajibarang dengan Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara dinyatakan diterima. Perbedaan tersebut dapat dilihat dari keikutsertaan, peran serta atau keterlibatan, proses atau alur tahapan program dan pengawasannya, mulai dari tahap sosialisasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelestarian kegiatan dengan memberikan sumbangan tenaga, pikiran, atau dalam bentuk materil, dalam pendidikan anak usia dini di Desa Lesmana Kecamatan Ajibarang dan Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara.

This research is more about the level of parents participation in early childhood education, a very important thing to do especially in the region of Ajibarang District which is village of Lesmana and Grendeng Sub District in North Purwokerto.
The purpose of this research is to know the ratio of parents participation in early childhood education within rural society which is in village of Lesmana, Ajibarang Sub District; with city people in the region of Grendeng District, North Purwokerto Sub District.
The hypothesis of this research was that a significant difference existed between parents participation in village of Lesmana, Ajibarang Sub District with the region of Grendeng District, North Purwokerto Sub District.
This research is included as the kind of quantitative – descriptive  research. The population in this reasearch was all parents of early childhood education children in village of Lesmana, Ajibarang Sub District, with the amount of respondents were 38 spread in two early childhood education and the region of Grendeng District, North Purwokerto Sub District with 53 respondents spread in three early childhood education. The sample – taking method in this research used the total sampling technic, which is a determination of whole population as respondents or sample (Sugiono 2009), the existed population was 91 respondents. The data collection method used in this research is questionnaire method. In this research, data analysis used the t test.
The result of this reasearch shows that the price of tcounted is 2,142. To test the significancy of that value should be consulted with the distributed values of t table. The value of ttable with value of df = 37 on a significancy level 5% is 2,109. So, the value of tcounted = 2,142 above the value of ttable = 2,109. It means that there is a significant difference between parents participation in village of Lesmana, Ajibarang Sub District with the region of Grendeng District, North Purwokerto Sub District, which is acceptable. That difference can be seen from the espousal, participation or involvement, process or the program stages groove and the supervision, start from the socialization level, planning, implementation, and preservation of the activity with giving contribution of energy, thought, or material form, in early childhood education in village of Lesmana, Ajibarang Sub District with the region of Grendeng District, North Purwokerto Sub District.
