Abstrak 
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai moral yang terkandung dalam cerita rakyat Putri Ayu Limbasari khususnya nilai moral yang berhubungan antara manusia dengan manusia dan untuk mengetahui relevansi nilai moral dalam cerita Putri Ayu Limbasari pada perilaku masyarakat Desa Limbasari. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus yang menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tekhnik pemilihan informan menggunakan purposive sampling dan sampel yang diambil adalah masyarakat Desa Limbasari sebagai informan utma, serta tokoh masyarakat diluar Desa Limbasari dan budayawan Purbalingga sebagai informan pendukung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat relevansi antara nilai moral yang ada dalam cerita Putri Ayu Limbasari dengan perilaku masyarakat Desa Limbasari. Nilai moral dalam cerita Putri Ayu Limbasari oleh  masyarakat Limbasari diimplementasikan dalam bentuk pola berfikir dan tindakan yang mencontoh pola perilaku dan tindakan tokoh-tokoh dalam cerita Putri Ayu Limbasari.. Mereka memiliki pemahaman yang hampir sama, walaupun pada cara penyampaiannya terdapat perbedaan, namun inti pemahaman mengenai nilai moral dalam cerita Putri Ayu Limbasari adalah berkutat pada nilai mementingkan orang lain, nilai gotong royong, nilai cinta damai, nilai kasih sayang, nilai kerukunan dan nilai saling menghormati.

This research discussed about the analysis of moral value relevance in the folktale Putri Ayu Limbasari on the behavior of Limbasari’s people. The background of this research because of the folktale has many value sublime of personality nation that could be guidelines life for people, including folktale Putri Ayu Limbasari in Limbasari, Purbalingga regency. The purposes of this research were to know the moral value contained in the folktale Putri Ayu Limbasari especially moral value relationships between fellow human beings and to know the moral value relevance in folktale Putri Ayu Limbasari on the behavior of Limbasari’s people. This research was case study research using descriptive qualitative method, by informer selection using purposive sampling technique. This research result shows that there is relevance between moral values of Putri ayu Limbasari story with the behavior of Limbasari’s people. Moral values relationships between fellow human beings in this folktale are value of teamwork, helpful, affection, harmony, like giving exhortation, care with other people, and like to pray for other. While, moral values relationships between fellow human beings in this folktale according to the people are value of care with other people, cooperative, peace, love affection, harmony and respecting each other. Moral value in Putri Ayu Limbasari story, by the Limbasari’s people are implemented on the pattern shapes of thinking and acting that follows the behavior pattern and figures act in the Putri Ayu Limbasari story. Generally, Putri Ayu Limbasari story derived from parents, teachers, books, and researches. They have same understanding, although on the delivery of story are different, but the main understanding of the moral value in Putri Ayu Libasari story are concern with value of care with other people, cooperative, peace, love affection, harmony and respecting each other.
