GEOLOGI DAN STUDI GEOKIMIA AIR PADA SISTEM PANASBUMI DAERAH PEKASIRAN DAN SEKITARNYA, KEC. BATUR, KABUPATEN BANJARNEGARA, JAWA TENGAH
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)
The Pekasiran area and its surroundings in Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, lie on the northwestern flank of the Dieng Volcanic Complex, which has notable geothermal potential but limited water-geochemistry data. This study covers 42.7 km² and aims to determine the geological conditions, characterize the water geochemistry, and develop a conceptual model of the geothermal system. Geomorphological, volcanostratigraphic, and structural analyses used DEM data and regional geological maps, while water geochemistry was analyzed from five manifestation samples (two cold springs and three hot springs) using Ion Chromatography and ICP-MS, and then integrated with published geophysical data. The area is divided into 17 volcanic geomorphological units with a centrifugal radial drainage pattern, eight Quaternary volcanic product units, and structures trending northwest–southeast, north–south, and west–east. The Cl–SO4–HCO3 diagram indicates chloride (Kawah Sileri), sulphate (Pagerkandang), and bicarbonate (Candradimuka Bawah) waters. The Cl–Li–B diagram shows that all manifestations originate from a single reservoir, whereas the Na–K–Mg diagram places all samples in the immature waters field, with Kawah Sileri closest to partial equilibrium. Geothermometry on this sample yields a reservoir temperature of 218–300°C at an inferred depth of about 1,500 m, consistent with published magnetotelluric and gravity data (240–350°C). The geothermal system is classified as a high-temperature, water-dominated system.
